Only seen the very first episode. It was good, but it hardly had me busting my sides laughing, which people here led me to believe would be the case.

I'll give the second episode a go though.

Just finished watching this recently and yeah episode 1 isn't amazing (though I loved the ending to it)

Personally thought the show was good and super consistent. Loved the
Meseeks/Me6?
episode and the only episode I actually didn't like was that
TV one because the TV jokes were overplayed and all the focus was on the parents' sideplot

The first episode didn't click for me either but after watching the second one I loved the series. Do make sure to give the next episode a go.
 
I watched the first episode and passed on it initially as well. Then I got bored and decided to watch episode 2 and laughed my ass off. Marathoned the rest of the series right then and there.
 
I want to introduce my friend to the show, is there anywhere online they can watch it?
I watched it on Adult Swims site a while ago but now a few episodes are gone and a majority of the rest need a US cable account of some kind (UK here)

So I had the bright idea of showing this to a friend yesterday, he loved it, second episode in he gets the bright idea to do a drinking game every time Rick says "Morty" ..... we passed out around episode 6 or 7.

It's such a good darn show. A lot of really funny stuff, and surprisingly the problematic stuff isn't that common (at least, not as common as I suspected they may be). One thing I really, really don't like is the scene where Rick and Morty talk about the word "retarded." It's a well-written scene, sure, but it's tonally off. I'm not convinced that Rick would care to explain himself or clarify, and I'm entirely convinced that Morty wouldn't have the "smarts" to come to the conclusions that he did come to. That sounds like something Rick would have said. It totally pulled me out of the scene, and it felt like the writers wanted to insert the joke/commentary without considering how well it worked within the context of the story.

Also Shannon and Beth are great characters
 
I really wish there were more episodes available already, recently rewatched season 1 and loved it more than the first viewing. The whole homeless man Innerspace episode is so good start to finish. They use that 22 minutes so effectively.

I don't need a season 2 anymore, I just need this to be the title for the OT and I'll be satisfied.
