R.I.P. Michael Jackson

As a child growing up listening and watching his songs, I can't believe he left us. I always thought he would die of old age. I'm a loss at words.

I feel bad now because I broke the news to my parents in a slightly "matter of fact" way. I mean, I didn't shove it in their faces, and I'm sad as well, but I didn't think about the fact that they grew up with this man and that he really was THE king during the prime of their lives.

When I left they were just sitting in the living room watching CNN not saying a word, just struck back.

So very unfortunate.
 
The fact that he left the catalog to Paul is FUCKING AWESOME. He must've felt real bad about that whole thing nowadays.

Unfortunately, if his will is contested, which seems entirely possible, the songs will be tied up with all the other assets.

RIP Jacko! :( Greatest entertainer ever. The man was so strange, fucked up from childhood by abuse. But he made music that still moves my heart to this day. He's moonwalking with angels now. PEACE.
 
So I went onto Itunes to download some tracks, but then I was like "wait I like this one...and this one...and this one...and this one...oh and this one...and this one"

Yep ended up spending like 40 bucks.
 
Just last week I talked with a buddy about how great Thriller was and how it was a shame he totally went to shit in the past decade or so. RIP.
 
Michael's death is one of three celebrities passing that have affected me enough to shed tears. Tupac Shakur was the first, followed by John Ritter, now Michael Jackson. Never met any of them in person, but the enjoyment all three of them brought me from young boy in elementary school to a adult in college, will stick with forever.
 
I recommend you guys watch Captain Eo in its entirety on Youtube! Its awsome even without 3D glasses

WTF? People are allowed to make fun of MJ, despite his immense talent and contributions to music there was plenty there to make fun of. That's especially true for a comedy show like the Simpsons.

Dude was so awesome, he was a fucking brilliant songwriter and entertainer. There will NEVER Be another guy just like that. Billie Jean and Smooth Criminal will always be my favorites.

I was at Disneyland the first day that opened. There were no big crowds because no one knew what it was. A week later you had to wait hours.

And yes, it was awesome.

It's sad but I'm not all bent out of shape like most people are. I didn't know the guy, he didn't know me. It sucks that hes dead and all, but he was just a muscian, not someone who truly changed the world. Just my opinion. Rest in peace mike.

Despite his antics, he really did make a lot of contributions to the music industry so this is a significant lost for the music industry.
