It seems like Activsion is toying around with the idea of a new Crash game.
Maybe not putting him into the trash that was THPS5 was a decision to not saddle the brand with more trash before they try and revive it.

Crash has been sitting around doing jack within Activision so why wouldn't they sell the IP back to Sony? What team did they have even with the makeup to put together a character action game? They are a publisher and were not publishing any Crash games.

Oh I'd think Activision can totally make a Crash game for the anniversary, there's no doubt that possibility can happen. I just incredibly doubt YOUR version of it. If it does lead to an effort where Crash is created with everything you've wanted, I'll eat my words, yes.

My version only asks for more money to be put into it so it can look like a high end cg game. I'd hate to see another cheaply made cash in like Tony Hawk, but yes I could see that happening before what I'd personally create if it was my choices.

I really liked what Crash for solely what it is. These...people... say its bad because it isn't mario. And while ND doesn't have the most of the people who worked on Crash and Jak anymore, still doesn't mean that theyc "hate" Crash. I heard in a podcast beyond interview with Neil and Bruce saying that they really don't like how Activision is handling Crash and its their baby. Starts at 38:20

yes one of the old interviews was quotoed as being like this to the question of how does it feel to see crash in others hands "like seeing your daguhter do porn or being a stripper" I forgot the exact quote
I think most people know of it though.
Maybe the next ND game will have Drake or sully screaming, don't crash, don't crash, we can't crash! If we crash we are done for! as they are in the driving sequence from E3

I can say unequivocally that Activision owns Crash Bandicoot at this time. They just renewed their trademark and service mark for Crash a few weeks ago.
