I think the patch features are pretty up to date, but I don't think the content is (at least yet.) There is no 5th unranked playlist and I was also disappointed to see the new "crazy" maps/playlist they released earlier this week don't seem to be in yet either...maybe they will be added soon? Maybe they did not wanted to overwhelm new players so they held some of the stuff out for the time being.

Us servers were ok for me today but I'm expecting things to get worse.
We need local servers, we paid our money too.
It took 2 months from the PS4 launch, but they have servers there now so who knows. They'll have the data of who's connecting from where, but with how the matchmaking was flat out broken at launch on PS4/PC, they clearly wanted as few variables as possible to start to make it smooth.
Keep playing. It'll be one of the "post match" unlocks, eventually.
EDIT: Then again, if it's like the Sweet Tooth Truck in the PS4 version, you have to complete a match with each of the original vehicles... which require unlocking via matches.
EDIT 2: I unlocked the Gears of War vehicle after finishing a season. Not sure if it was tied to that, or just a random unlock. (Still haven't unlocked the Warthog)

What are seasons? I looked over the mode and became extremely confused.
Also, something interesting to note is that since this game features a live player count, we can better extrapolate the player counts of other titles. Earlier today when it was around 26K is was the 12th most playedon Live, with Halo 5 and R6:Siege right above it.

Ranked mode uses seasons. Season one lasted a few months and at the end you got a Crown that matched the color of your highest division at time of closing(Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum). This season they changed the ranked divisions up.

So happy that more people get to enjoy this amazing game. I've lost count of how many times I've been up til 6am on it.
Quick tip for all you new Xbox players. Ball-Cam is your friend (Y button). I use it 95% of the time when not collecting boost. It was my #1 mistake for the first few levels trying to play without it. Majority of pro players and 90% of us mere mortals use it. Makes the game so much easier, trust me.

Played 2 matches so far, lost first 3v3 1-4 and won second 2-0. I didn't score any goals though lmao. I need to learn when to jump, I'm jumping to early.
I suck at Rocket League just as much as I suck at Football IRL.

I am the kind of person who buys a game, beats it (or doesn't) and trades it in immediately. Even with digital games, I'll delete them the moment I'm done. Rocket League is the first game in my life that I have kept with and played almost daily. Every match is so varied and new that there's always an incentive to play on. It's also very difficult to play for just 1 or 2 matches, once you're hooked, be prepared to play for hours.

Good to see it's finally out on Xbox. Everyone should be playing this. I play it nearly every day on PS4 and it's still a huge amount of fun.

Team play is pivotal.
Always have a designated goalie. Not every can or needs to be Messi.
The game is the best when proper team play is exhibited. That means nice lobs and bank shot setups off the walls.

This isn't necessary. Having someone at midline is important. Having someone sit in goal causes too many wasted opportunities to keep the ball in your opponent's half, at the very least. I hate playing with randoms who sit in goal.

For the primary reason of playing against us vets, I would want it.I don't wanna slum with PC gamers anyway.
The ecosystem should be fine but that is the primary reason. Most of us are on PS4 and PC. Luckily some have an XB so you may see some good players show up immediately.

Agreed. Having one person dedicated to playing defensively is fine, but actually sitting in goal the entire match isn't really helpful. Down an offensive player the team is basically just conceding a bunch of chances to punish weak clears, keep up pressure etc.
Generally speaking, positioning, rotating/cycling and situational awareness (to be fair, that last part comes from experience) are far more important than trying to lock players into set roles. This image has been kicking around for a while and it basically conveys the gist of it.

This x1000. There's nothing worse then someone just sitting in net inviting pressure the whole game. Yes, when the other team are attacking sit in net but be prepared to come out to intercept a ball.
Good team rotation is one of the hardest things to get right in this game but when it works it can be glorious. 2 attacking with one further back. If they then get a chance to attack a team-mate should instinctively move back to cover the gap. If a team of 3 get this down they can be very hard to beat.

I hopped on for a few matches last night and I've got to say I'm hooked. Lost the first game in a blowout but we either won or had a very close match in all the others I play.
I love the arena that sounds the viking horn anytime there's a score and I love the community flags (anyone else rocking the NeoGaf one?).

Have fun guys! RL was by far my most played game of 2015, and it still is the one I play almost every night. Actually, I'm pretty sure it's my most played game ever. I have like 250 hours in it, which I don't think I've done in any other game. It just never gets old.
No major highlights from yesterday for me. This goal was OK though.

keep at it! it´s tough at first but you´ll get the hang of it. also, once you get to higher levels and the pace of the game picks up, you'll lose track of the ball if you stick with the fixed camera.

You're not supposed to play with it on all the time, just switch to it whenever the ball is out of view. If I played with ball cam on all the time it would make me sick. lol But you should really play with what ever settings work for you, that's the beauty of this game. There's no right or wrong way.
