welp there goes my hands
So to the people that actually played the first one... can it actually teach you how to play guitar?
So it teaches you to play the right notes. But doesn't teach you correct technique.
Correct. Best used as a supplement to actual guitar instruction.
I'm on board then. I kind of know the correct way to play a guitar. My dad is a guitarist. I'm just a bit crap at it.
I should clarify. It does have videos and practice sections for each guitar technique, but during the actual game it's not showing you correct fingering, just a string of notes to try to hit with difficulty that changes on the fly as you get better.
As a bit of a guitar noob (about 2 years now), I love this game. I will definitely be picking this up. Is there news about support for the prior game's music library (on disc and DLC) ?
I was very skeptical of rocksmith because there is pretty much nothing an experienced guitarist could get from it( from what I had heard). This live AI session that reacts to what you play if it works as promised is a game changer for me. The idea of having a dynamic band behind you without having to have real musicians with you is awesome.
Are there any videos/pictures of the new interface and gameplay?
I will probably pick up the PS4 version so I can justify getting a new electric guitar.
The problem with Rocksmith is the delay on HD-tv's. I don't know how they are going to address this especially of XB1 and PS4 are HDMI only, but if they can fix the issue that the last game had, it is Day one for sure.
Not sure what your point is exactly. It doesn't really address my concern. Given the box art above, I assume it's coming to next gen consoles as well.
It's not, some retailers are just stamping PS4 and Xbox One on everything. It's not a next-gen title.
OK. I guess that means they probably will not have this issue figured out yet. Maybe I'll wait for the 2016 edition.

holy shit[/QUOTE]
Whoa
I wonder how they're gonna chart that.
Just discovered the first Rocksmith. Pretty incredible products that makes the most mundane aspect of practicing guitar incredibly fun. Can't wait until this new edition is out.
Has this been confirmed to use Uplay for the PC version? How are they handling DLC since your stuff from the first game is suppose to carry over.
is there going to be a facility to import the songs from the first game into the new?
Ubisoft's Rocksmith 2014 Nicholas Bonardi
- Dynamic Difficulty can be adjusted on the fly
- Riff Repeater can be accessed at any time
- Score Challenges can be sent to friends online / in Guitarcade as well
- Score Attack?

"2014 Edition"? That sounds terrible.
