That's true, it's also worthwhile going into a music shop and testing out the guitars too.
Each instrument will have their own quirks and differences.
I have a $400 Bass that sounds quite muddy (best for metal) but then my $1400 Bass is extremely punchy (best for funk).

I've been playing for 15 years and am enjoying playing the original Rocksmith. I'm looking forward to picking the new one up in the next week or so.
One problem I have is that I can't sight read worth a damn with this fretboard layout. I'm so used to tabs. Just give me the damn fret number! I can't tell if I need to hit 13 or 14 in the middle of a solo.
Either way, it's still pretty fun and is tightening my playing up a little bit. Again, I look forward to picking up 2014.

Funny you should say that because Rocksmith 2014 now has fret numbers on all single notes that appear. However, they disappear if you're playing the same fret again or on a different string directly after playing it.
Yeah I really like this. I also laughed (and like) that the boxed edition of Rocksmith 2014 comes with a sticker sheet containing numbers for you to number your fret board.
Fuck me. Elephant. I think I might actually have to buy this now. This game's set list is excellent.
