Do you realize what the problem with this image is? If you actually removed the dresses and hair, they would actually look more dissimilar than they do in that picture, because the dresses obscure their figures pretty heavily. Rosalina is more slender than Peach and Daisy, especially across the shoulders, has a smaller cup size, a smaller torso, and longer legs. She also has shorter arms, which I guess makes since with the smaller torso. But the dresses actually obscure a lot of the differences. Anyway, I have no trouble telling the three characters apart, even in silhouette, but whatever, this argument is stupid.

Considering that Rosalina and Piece both are wearing their dresses and aren't bald in Smash, there is no point in doing a silhouette comparison of them without their dresses and hair.

Clothes are a part of character design and matter for silhouettes. For example, the Demoman in Team Fortress 2 looks like an inverted triangle because of his body armor.

Daisy would be an awesome catch-all representative for the Mario spin-offs. She's been in nearly all of them. Best of all, if this were the idea behind her, she could wear her battle armor from Strikers. :-O

But I don't expect her. I'd actually be quite alright with Rosalina & Luma being the only Mario newcomer.

i have no issue with "edgy sports" or anything like that, mutant league is good fun

it's more that it fit way better with mario series than i could've ever expected. it had the potential to do away with all charm the series had, but retained it so well.

For newcomers, it looks like every trailer will be, and I love it:

• The initial reveal had some folks thinking it was Animal Crossing (assuming they missed the imagery of the introduction transition)
• The Wii Fit Trainer introduction had everyone thinking it was for Wii Fit U
• Well, you saw the Rosalina trailer.

The Rosalina trailer had my mind especially all over the place. I went from thinking it was a new Galaxy game to thinking it was a new Kirby Air Ride, to thinking that Kirby was being brought into Mario Kart, and in fact it only clicked that it was a Smash trailer the instant after the "Launch into Battle!" title card disappeared.

I love these fake-out trailers too; this one is by far the best. The music/timing was just done too well, like hearing the rev of those engines while the Air Ride opening is getting good. They should continue the trend.

Really, this was the best way to show off Rosie.

I like the idea of Daisy being the Mario Sports representative for Smash. Have her swing a baseball bat, golf club, kick soccer balls - her final smash could be a barrage of Mario Karts.

But I think it's safe to say Rosalina will be the only new Mario series representative. Maybe we'll get Dixie Kong, but that's a stretch.
