You bastard. On another note, would you have the ability to sticky this thread during the E3 on the other side or would the OT have come back after the conferences?Amir0x said:We have crowned a new comer.

Martin Scorsese's The Departed. Michael Mann's Heat. Brian de Palma's The Untouchables. And now, Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight can join the ranks as one of the best crime dramas in modern movie history.
Seriously. If this is even in the same league, holy fuck._leech_ said:

So we get it the 16th, when do you guys get it?
Its a rotating schedule of major releases to limit piracy. Well supposedly the US and Canada are high priority to have sloppy seconds.woodchuck said:and fuck australia for getting the movie before the US
OuterWorldVoice said:This art is horrible. It reeks of Batman and Robin. Don't get me wrong, the movie looks awesome. But this art is BAD. It is bad art. Art that is not good.

It made me go see Ironman ..Amir0x said:does rottentomatoes change anyone's views on anything anyway? I mean, it might persuade people NOT to see a movie but i mean really Dark Knight was always destined to be great, so there was little chance of that scenario

Frankly I feel "Rotten Tomatoes" and its ilk are about as detrimental to film enjoyment as is armchair box-office debating. It all comes down to the individual's tastes so why do people feel compelled to put "Rottenwatch" in the title, as if numbers are going to make the difference?! Can someone make "Rottenwatch" a bannable offense? Please?Amir0x said:does rottentomatoes change anyone's views on anything anyway

But why do we have to have the phrase in every thread discussing movies? The implication is that we're going have an audience/critic debate, when we should just be talking about the movie. And if that's always the case, why is this still practiced?effzee said:dont think it changes anyones mind. but its just a tracker for those interested in the movie.
besides its really for after everyone has seen it so they can discuss their own review.
again it doesnt change anyones mind, esp for a movie like this, but say if a movie is univerally acclaimed or panned then it makes sense to check something like rottentomatoes out to see the compiled average and links to the reviews.

I will destroy it.woodchuck said:you're right that it doesn't make sense to include RottenWatch since the majority of the thread will be dedicated to discussing the movie and not the reviews.
the only explanation is that it's GAF tradition.

Why couldn't they just let it be?
Terrible, terrible piece of art. But again, not a comment on the movie, just this shitty promo thing.
this man speaks the truthwoodchuck said:basically, the only point of the OP is to see if the movie actually manages to get a fresh rating above 100%
