Amir0x said:does rottentomatoes change anyone's views on anything anyway? I mean, it might persuade people NOT to see a movie but i mean really Dark Knight was always destined to be great, so there was little chance of that scenario
If I'm interested in a movie and I see that it's RT score in under 40%, I don't watch that movie.woxel1 said:Frankly I feel "Rotten Tomatoes" and its ilk are about as detrimental to film enjoyment as is armchair box-office debating. It all comes down to the individual's tastes so why do people feel compelled to put "Rottenwatch" in the title, as if numbers are going to make the difference?! Can someone make "Rottenwatch" a bannable offense? Please?

Definitely a very positive review but with a few caveats. The reviewer even argues The Dark Knight should have been 30 minutes longer

There may be a directors cut someday with the 30 minutes that was apparently in a cut as recently as two months ago. Maybe it will speak to these issues. Maybe not.

same, man are people stupid for the same shit done SLIGHTLY differently? Maybe if I went in blind with no expectations then I might have enjoyed it, but I only watched it because idiots were raving about how awesome this movie is.zaccheus said:i went to see enchanted because it had a 90% on rotten tomatoes

NutJobJim said:I had a crazy dream last night in which I saw the Dark Knight...and it sucked!
In the dream I went to the IMAX by myself and was pleasantly surprised to find that my seat was next to a really cute blonde who was also by herself.
Anyway the movie started and it got off to a fantastic start. Batman was chasing Joker around Gotham in the Tumbler and there were plenty of exciting explosions and action scenes. I was surprised that the pace never let up and the first hour was non stop action. Anyway about an hour in there was an interval and me and the hot blonde went for a drink.
When we arrived back things got a little strange.
-Rachel wasn't played by Maggie Gyllenhaal, but by Clair Danes :lol
-Harvey Dent was barely in the movie, and Two-Face didn't appear at all!
-There was some other villain I'd never heard of in the movie called Glassjaw, and he was played by Leonardo DiCaprio :lol
-The Joker was played really well by Heath, but he didn't really do anything other than run around laughing and blowing shit up. There was no...plan
-Most of the clips we've seen in the trailers didn't appear in the movie
-It ended on a complete cliff-hanger and the Joker was still at large, and Dent was still Dent.
Anyway after the movie the hot blonde was flirting with me but I ran back home to post my impressions of GAF (don't worry I got her number first.) When I got back everybody on GAF was saying it was the film of forever and that Heath was Jesus reincarnated etc. I decided not to spoil the party by saying it sucked, but then some mod did (think it was Amir0x) and then the floodgates were open, and everyone was going 'oh yeah damn it sucked.' We all decided that Nolan had been really clever and filmed parts 2 and 3 back to back without telling anyone and that part 3 would be awesome.
So GAF what does my dream mean? (apart from the obvious fact that I miss my ex)
I wish I had a dream of the dark knight (the movie, not of naked Bale).Ashhong said:it means that you are one sad, sad man.

My local theatre has pre-release on the 23rd for £12.50 with a poster included, but I don't really have the money for it and I want my first viewing to be in the glorious IMAX.
The wait is unbearable![]()
