What the hell are you talking about?mrklaw said:The only thing I really didn't like was rorschach's mask (spelling?) and his ninja ablities. He's an average joe, maybe a bit souped up. I can handle the athleticism from a directorial point of view (just amping it up for effect), but that mask was fucking stupid. What was wrong with the basic fucking mask?
I thought it was the nudity more than anything else.levious said:I'd think the rape scene had more to do with the rating than any of the violence.

Snyder needs to stop with the sex scenes in his movies. At this point he doesn't know how to film them. They are always more awkward than anything else.

Rorschach has the same mask in the book and in the movie, what are you talking about?mrklaw said:The only thing I really didn't like was rorschach's mask (spelling?) and his ninja ablities. Even though it actually did change between panels. It can mean he changes during moods or changes how it is in the movie.catfish said:I assume he means the pattern kept changing, which you couldn't see it doing that in the book?

Or maybe you thought everytime the pattern changed he'd put on a different mask when nobody was looking?

If it's any consolation, they didn't show him firing the shot. He could've been the back-up shooter or just on his way to the gun range that day or holding a gun for a buddy while he was taking a leak or any number of theories that will ultimately not please you anyways.Flynn said:If there's one fault with Snyder it's that he doesn't do nuance. The point of conspiracy theories is that they're theories. They're nebulous.

hokahey said:Another reason the movie sucked. This should have been obvious when his mask came off, and it should be clear he wasn't picketing everything. It was the same damn sign.

That was one problem I had. Having read the book, I knew it was Rorschach holding the signs, but I didn't think there was enough attention brought to it. When I read the book, I remembered immediately thinking upon him being unmasked "Holy shit, is he that nut job who was carrying the signs around at the newsstand preaching the end of the world!?" Then, I flipped back to verify and thought it was a really cool moment, as I hadn't seen that coming.whytemyke said:Saw it a second time yesterday and noticed some stuff I didn't the first time. In the film, the reveal of Walter Kovacs as Rorschach really didn't have much of an impact.
