I feel like companies should stop showing all the playable characters on the cover. It takes a ton of surprise out of meeting new characters and having them join your party out of the blue.

You see that mostly in JRPG but I personally don't mind because most characters would be revealed before the cover. I also LOVED Octopath Traveler cover art that shows the cast walking together.

Totally agree.

One of the pleasures of RPG was exploring the world and meeting new characters without knowing who would join your party or not.

DQXI surprised a little on that regard.

Danjin44 Well, Octopath is different because you can choose to start as any of those 8 characters.

Agreed - i HATE when rpgs show you everyone you get pre release
