I'm sorry if this was posted already but did anyone else see this Logitech iPad analog nub story on Engadget?

Is this what 01net is speculating Nintendo is trying to do? If so it's going to be very lame.

Kind of. It was mocked earlier in the thread, so if you feel like immersing yourself in insanity be my guest. The idea going around doesn't use the touchscreen, but would be disconnected somehow.

So this is like the little rumble device I got with Metroid Pinball, right?

It would be if the 3DS had a port to plug it into. But it doesn't, so it would have to be wireless. Which is dumb.

That reminds me of this image.

Lol, you're covering half of the goddamn screen.

But that won't make developers make real games for it!

Only iOS ports!
That's ok as it would still get the occasional Vita port.

I already expected Nintendo to make a new 3DS model sooner or later, but adding a 2nd stick is a huge add-on, almost like a new system.

It'd be stupid if this new re-designed system is priced at $250! (if this rumor is true)

I just don't believe this at all, but, wouldn't have made more sence if nintendo released the 3DS with a second analog stick and lowered the price of the alredy expensive 3DS at less for the compensation of that extra stick.. this just doesn´t make sence...

gross... I will never buy another Nintendo hand-held. :/ OOT was barely worth it.
1.) Why are you saying this based on an unconfirmed, unsourced rumor?

2.) Why did you bump this shitty thread to say that?

don't forget, they borrowed analog stick too, and tweaked it a bit! mind blown!
Apparently there have been faulty chips inside the 3DS dev units. That's why there aren't any games for it.

I think the flings only really work on an ipad or something 7 inches or bigger, those on a phone do look stupid as hell and I love my ipod, just seems overkill.

Well, we might as well bring this up for discussion since it's slowly creeping into five different threads.

3DS Monster Hunter and Slide Pad Expansion in This Week's Famitsu
Posted on 09.07.2011 at 11:17, by Anoop Gantayat

This isn't exactly confirmed yet, but our usual flying get leak sources are saying that Famitsu has a first look this week at Monster Hunter 3G, a 3DS entry in the Monster Hunter series. The 3DS title has been highly rumored, so this wouldn't be too much of a surprise.

Famitsu also has details on a new first party Nintendo peripheral that expands the 3DS with a second slide pad. This attaches next to the system's face buttons.

We'll hopefully have glorious confirmation or shameful debunkment (or possibly a bit of each!) a bit.

Can I just point out now, that I said people shouldn't write them off since they did get the Wii-U info.

Long story short, my wisdom is best wisdom.

wwwwwwwww

so it's a thing on the face buttons.

So what's gonna happen to Nintendo hardware designers, this just means there's an alarmingly big problem with their hardware design.

And how can you play Mon Hun with this, I mean, where's the face buttons?

if it's real the quote is

so it attaches NEXT to those.

AH! my bad. i missed that "next" and it started to sound like some sort of weird facsimile of gluing a quarter to a digital pad.

If this ends up being true, Nintendo is really stupid. Really, really stupid.

I know, I know, MH is an extremely powerful IP, but powerful enough to warrant an addon that will segment a userbase that is still in its infancy? Foolish.
