RUMOR: Borderlands Remastered Edition incoming?

Cool! After Bungies bungled with Destiny I was thinking about trying this series. I'll just wait for this on the One instead
 
Is the Pre-Sequel planned to have the same four expansion style DLCs that the first two games have?

I haven't kept up with it much at all, I just remember hearing that it was getting (or got already) the Handsome Jack body-double as a new DLC character, didn't hear anything about larger content packs.
 
I've been playing through the first Borderlands and made it to like level 25...

if this is real I'm not interesting in continuing that campaign unless I can somehow transfer my progress. Don't feel like starting a new game either.

This one is being developed by 2K Australia, the folks who headed Pre-Sequel's development. So no, it isn't affecting any form of development if there is any with Gearbox Software, though they are currently focused on Battleborn.
 
I'd be down for this. I've never got around to playing any of the Borderland games, and would be happy to play them on a PS4/Xbox One console.
 
Probably the only way I'd jump on this is if they added PS4/X1 exclusive content or features, which I doubt will happen. Cool for people who missed them, but I'd rather they just get a team on BL3.
 
I would not mind this, but these re-masters need to be a bit cheaper. Unless it is something like Halo MCC, where the value of what you get for $60 is insane, I think these things need to be better priced. GTA5 being full $60 is a joke imho. Again, if you are going to offer something on the same level as Halo then $60 is justified.
 
Too much borderlands for me, for those that didn't get the chance to play though, you guys will have fun for a while.

Were you asleep during the last four generations? We've been getting up ports and remasters for decades. It's so asinine that people choose THIS generation to make a stink out of it.

If this happened, I'd be first in line to buy it too. Never touched them on the PS3. Same with GTAV and Beyond. Whats wrong with catering to an audience like me that missed the games the first time around? And lol at people thinking remasters/ports actually consume enough resources to delay a studio's next game. You have no idea how a studio functions and allocates need. If anything, remasters are keeping people's jobs that may otherwise become redundant in between major projects, while creating a new source of income at a low cost to fund more, guess what? New games.

And it's not being defined by remasters.

I swear if I were a MOD i would start banning people who spew this pile of crap. It's getting so old and makes people sound retarded. I mean good god the last two months had close to 10 new games compared to two remasters...it's just beyond ridiculous.

So no remasters are not defining this generation. There are plenty of news games coming and new games that have come out with the occasional remaster.
 
I'd bite. BL is one of my all-time favourites, and I've yet to finish 2. (Got sidetracked) The first is better, though.

All DLC needs to be included to make it worthwhile, though.

The third one I don't plan to play through again. It was okay, but far from great.
 
My vote?

I absolutely would pay $60 for a package that has all 3 last gen borderlands games with all the DLC. That would be quite a package.

Don't bother dude.

It's the same stupid crap that the anti-remaster crowd continues to spew over and over and over again. There is no logic to it and it has no basis in reality. They just live in this little fantasy world where no new games are being made (or new games are being cancelled) despite the fact that we had one of the biggest October and Novembers EVER in terms of new games. They just continue to ignore those facts. I wish I could just ignore those comments because I know it's going to get me banned eventually.
 
Yo, unless there's some serious visual and content overhauls going on here I think I'm good

I got Borderlands 2 and it plays 60 frames nearly maxed out on a PC powered by a budget card from three years ago

Great for those who haven't played it though (or at least those who haven't played the BL games to death already like I have)

But let's be honest, aside from 1080p/60fps, improved textures, and all DLC what all could they really overhaul?
 
Id only bite if it allowed me to play all characters between both games. That aside ive never finished all the dlc for the first two games, the vehicle handling between both games suck and the guns still feel like toy guns to me. Fix all those things and ill replay them again without question.

There is no possible way from a story perspective that you could play the characters from the first game in the second.

I bet it's going to be a 1080/60 version of Borderlands 1 with all it's DLC.

Borderlands is too big of a brand for 2K to give away all three at once, they'll dole each remaster out between now and Borderlands 3.
 
Huh. Well, it's nice if it's coming to the new consoles, but I put hundreds of hours into the originals. I can't imagine starting completely over.

They're just pissed because "new games are getting cancelled left and right" to release these remasters. I mean look at last October and November no new games it was ALL remasters.

This gen is screwed.

I'd be down for sure, as long as the price is right and the frame rate isn't terrible.
It'd be really neat if they could remaster the ending of the first game to not be a huge disappointment, as well.
 
So many remasters...I can't, I won't buy another remaster, no.......

Maybe all three last-gen if bundled.

343 should do the port, I hear their matchmaking skills are boss.

I didn't really get into the first game for some reason, but I love BL2 and TPS. Maybe it's because I played BL2 as the Mechromancer and loved that character.

yeah i never played the first one but everything about it seemed pretty bland coming from the perspective of someone who loves bl2. like the skill trees and guns themselves dont seem to result in really specific craziness that i associate with the series gameplay.

They're like, the same exact game.

At least I platinumed both and could barely tell you what's different aside from characters. Both have the same strengths and issues.

My hope is that they remaster the original and add new playable characters and weapons.

at this rate by the time I decide to buy a next-gen console around 2016, almost ALL the current-gen games I own will already be readily available on them as well.
