Seems that a Borderlands: Remastered Edition for 'multi platform' is on the way if we go by this Australian rating. Presumably for PS4, X1, and maybe PC.

People keep shoehorning old games into the new console with little to no reason to do so except to get a quick buck -_-

if they want to release pre-sequel this way on PS4 i don't mind or if they want to release all dlc and hopefully fix that 1 bug that stopped you from beating a dlc in the first borderlands then go ahead, it's not exactly like you can play it online anymore with ps3 since gamespy server shutdown

A friend of mine has Tales from the Borderlands on Xbox One and when he checked the extras it said he had unlocked something in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and it had "Coming Soon" on it.

Maybe they'll do a triple pack?

I'm actually ok with this game being remastered.

I tried playing it again recently on PC and it could really do with an interface overhaul and graphical clean up.

Love the pistols and sniper rifles in that game, especially the long barrel revolvers. I've hated all the pistols I've ever found in BL2 and TPS.

Do we really need this?

They're awesome games and one of them launched post-current-gen so yes. I only play 'em on PC but it's lame people were excluded/forced to get last gen because of that.

The only pistols worth a shit in BL1 were "revolvers" which was technically a separate class of weapons. Nothing really makes up for their loss in BL2 unfortunately. Only the Infinity is worth a shit for the most part because...you know...infinity.

I have a feeling it's probably just TPS "remastered." The first game is a bit on the dated side these days and I don't know if it'd be that great of a candidate for a release.

Not really interested unless they do a major overhaul instead of just making the console versions up to par with PC. I already have 1&2 on PC. Played the hell out of them, do not need to again unless there is something actually interesting going on.

I really liked the first Borderlands, but it feels too soon, imo. I think they should have saved it a couple more years. Plus, they could have just used those same resources to help fund a newer Borderlands installment instead.

Ah well, at least we'll probably get an FOV slider this time around ... I hope!

Financially speaking I understand the reasoning companies are doing this. From a customer standpoint I would rather the resources being used to port this game go toward a new title.
Usually these companies ARE putting the bulk of their resources into new games, these are just done by smaller teams of people or outsourced to other companies entirely while the main developers continue to work on the next game.

Granted, I'm talking more about games that have just been given a higher res and framerate, there are exceptions like Wind Waker HD (I think I heard they put it in a new engine), Final Fantasy X/X-2 (which took forever), or Oddworld Strangers Wrath HD (which was more of a remake, like Conker on the Xbox). But I'd be surprised if these are much more than better resolutions and framerates of the 3 Borderlands games. MAYBE better textures, but I wouldn't expect more than that personally.

The only way to make me play the games again is remastered visuals, apart from a framerate and resolution jump. Borderlands for me was a very tiring experience, the missions were incredibly dull but I had to do all of them to level up.

They'd better be the equivalent of a PC running with Utra settings, 1080p/60fps and Nvidia PhysX.

Situations like this are confusing the hell out of me owning PS4, Xbone, and a new PC. I know that 2 looks better on PC, but I played the shit out of that game on Xbox 360. Now with this coming out, I don't know if I should triple dip, or just stick with it on PC.

Ya that is why I'm having trouble getting behind these 3rd party game remasters. I've already played them on PC at 1080p/60fps. The only one I'm sorta interested in is the ultra sf4 for PS4 but only because the PC version online is sorta dead

If it's 1 and 2 with the DLC I will jump in. I didn't get the chance to play either last gen so if it looks good I don't mind.
