Do not forsake us the long awaited return of the legendary waifu, Tifa Lockhart, who's face is radiant as her bosom is bountiful. See that we might bask in the incandescent beauty of her awesome rocking tits, which call forth reckonings of Japanese anime.
Lo, let it be made so that she be left kawaii desu ne, untainted by the whims of baka gaijin.
Praise be to Gaia
I wouldn't. Square intends to only announce games when they're close to ready now, and last year they scraped any FFVII:R marketing plans to focus solely on KH3. My guess is that they're going to heavily focus on FFVII:R this time and only announce XVI when that is cleared out of the way.Great stuff. I expect a ffxvi announcement this e3 too.

Do you have a link to the source, OP?
Does it really matter if it's like KH3, though? It was released a mere four or five days later. No biggie.I think the game could come out between November 2019 (at best) or January 2020.
The only thing I wonder about is, will it be released simultaneously in Worldwide, or will it be released first in Japan and then in the rest of the world?
(I ask this for the recent statements given by Nomura, after the launch of KH III)

I realize this is getting my hopes waaaayyyyy too high, but god it would be nice to see Tifa close to this.

I hope we get that Tifa.
Definitely agree that her face is too Asian. The overall look of her hair, outfit, and body look absolutely spot on though. Give her facial structure a more European look and I think it's gold.Wtf that doesn’t look like Tifa at all. Way to Asian looking

$60 for 2 AAA games packed with content? That's insane. So $120 for this?? That's insane.
$60 for 2 AAA games packed with content? That's insane.
If we are getting a brand new experience built from the ground up as a full length game, why would you expect that to not be full price?
This isn't just a reskin or an episodic model like the Walking Dead games.
Can a sequel not have the same world but expand it? Assuming it's a 2 parter that ends with the confrontation at the lost city, there are a lot of new areas and changes to the world that would occur in the 2nd part. Does size and quality of content not matter? If it's two parts it's not two AAA games. There would be overlap of content like the open world.
The funny thing is the left actually looks like a very true realistic take on Tifa's character art drawn by Nomura, but also happens to be a cute Japanese girl haha.If the rumor about Tifa is true prepare for this:

Name another example of a game on the scale of FFVII that got remade from the ground up in 1 game and then we can start making comparisons about people freaking out. Even name a game of the same genre as the remake that has the scale it's going for in one game. Are people really trying to defend this?
If any other franchise did this, they would be chastised.
I get people want this game but come on. $120 for a remake is ridiculous. In a wolrd where people bitch non stop about over priced Gold editions of games and early access to games by buying the $120 version, this shouldn't be an exception.

Otherwise, yeah, I'm defending this. I have been waiting for almost 2 decades to see this happen, and I want to see it done right. If they say that they would not have been able to accomplish it in one game without making major cuts then I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.
If the game comes out and doesn't live up to its promise though, then yeah I'll be on the same boat. I understand people being skeptical, but it's not some insane move imo.
Your argument is essentially that no game can have less content than the Witcher 3 and cost the same or more than it.I fail to see how the scale of this is massive. Witcher 3, Spiderman, god of war, etc all have MASSIVE scale. There's nothinf to indicate this is somehow going to bigger than those titles.
Even games in the shame genre such as their own game Final Fantasy 15 had massive scale.
They don't need to break it into two parts to do this. If games like Witcher 3 and God of War can acomplish what they have this gen there's zero reason why they can't do the same other than incompetence.
The spliting of this to me personally has always sounded like a way to milk this project because they know the fandom of this title will allow them to forgive any tactic to make more money even if it's a bad reason.

I can only hope that they have the balls to say "Fuck you" to the whiny bitches who have nothing better to do than complain that someone sexier than them exists.
I got a feeling that they won’t. They’ll probably give in. The RE2: Remake developers wanted Claire to look Bayonetta-ish and guess who wanted Claire to look more, “grounded” or regular in the final release?
You are complaining that games that are even larger than FFVII will cost less than the remake, and use the Witcher 3 as an example. What about all of the other games that are smaller than the Witcher 3? Why is it ok that they are smaller in scale, but its not ok that FFVII is?How did you get that from that? Because I didn't say that at all. I even have other games with smaller scale than Witcher 3.........
But ok.

I just don't understand how size has any bearing on retail price.
Ah ok yeah I get what you are saying. I need to stop replying to threads I read immediately after waking up lolWe are arguing the same thing? The person I repsonded to claimed the scope and size of ff7 remake justifies them charging $120 for it. To which my response was scale doesn't get a free pass to charge that much when these other games have a massive scale and didn't try to charge players twice.
If square is going to charge $120, at this point it's not confirmed that's their plan the OP states it's a rumor, then there needs to be a real good reason to charge twice for a remake of a game that wasn't originally split into two games.
Optional areas like Wutai can always be postponed to part 2, especially as they encompass a pretty big landmark.Rumor sounds plausible since there are smaller details that he describes (like GIL instead of a membership card and a new summon), anyway if the game does end in Aerith's death, it'll look like this:
Part 1:
The Reactor #1 raid
Sector 7: At the hideout
The second raid: Reactor #5
Cross dressing at Wall Market
Sewers, Train Graveyard, and Pillar Assault
Back in the slums
Raiding Shinra HQ!
Flashback at Kalm Town
Chocobo Ranch, the Marshes, and the Mythril Mines
Junon
Mount Corel
The Gold Saucer and Corel Prison
Gongaga Village
Cosmo Canyon & Cave of the Gi
Nibelheim & Shinra Mansion
Mount Nibel
Rocket Town
Wutai
The Temple of the Ancients
Bone Village, The Sleeping Forest & City of the Ancients
Part 2:
Coral Valley Cave & Icicle Inn
The Great Glacier
Gaea's Cliffs
Whirlwind Maze
Escape from Junon
Mideel
The Huge Materia: Corel and Fort Condor
Cloud at Mideel
The Underwater Reactor
The Gelnika
A Space Odyssey 1997
The Key to the Ancients + Diamond Weapon
Stopping Midgar's Cannon!
The Northern Crater
1/3 of Part 1 consists of Midgar already so I'm guessing Midgar is as big as FFXV Royal Edition Insomnia. Part 2 is definitely smaller but I get feeling they're revisiting many locations and adding new content.
Im personally preffered the right one
Look like a proper grown up beautiful women
left one look like kids
Left one is way better but needs (way) bigger boobs. If the rumor about Tifa is true prepare for this:
So let me put it this way; FFVII has a massive overworld when you think in terms of the variety of locations, enemies, encounters, and the various activities to do in each location. My assumption is that the reason they are doing this in 2 parts is so that they can actually bring all of that forward into this game.I fail to see how the scale of this is massive. Witcher 3, Spiderman, god of war, etc all have MASSIVE scale. There's nothinf to indicate this is somehow going to bigger than those titles.

Interesting info here. If they do any tone-down stuff here I would expect it would be to preserve a certain rating by the ESRB, rather than to cater to whining -- it could very well be a business thing. We don't have enough info to really know at this point.
I'm excited for this game, and I'm interested to see a modern take on the story and world I fell in love with a long time ago.
