I would like to hope so as well. Clearly the 3G unit wasn't selling and it had nothing to do with it not being 4G and everything to do with it was $299 and if you wanted to use the 3G it was an additional $15 a month. With 4G people still wouldn't buy it.
1st priority should be to get the WiFi system to $199 with a 4GB card bundled with each purchase.
4G? Perfect for cloud streaming PS4 games to your Vita anywhere. Hmm.
Strange thing is though that "new" design is remarkably similar to the Vita devkits. I do wonder what the USB port is for though. Seems kinda redundant.

What if its part of it? 4G access for your ps4 from anywhere. If this is the Meeting announcement and there's no PS4...
Armageddon.
So, no price drop... Hmm, don't know if they learned their lessons...
You've gotta be kidding me... as soon as I get a Vita they release a new one with a feature that should have been in the original (video out). I was so disappointed about that...
If this is the Meeting announcement and there's no PS4...
Armageddon.
I'd buy it to play the games on a TV (when it's much cheaper, of course), I have little use for a portable system.
But when are you going to be buying a second Vita game?If this is true I'm going to be buying a 2nd Vita. Yum.
LOL?A new 4G model of the PlayStation Vita will be replacing the 3G model sometime this year. According to the source, this will be the so-called “price drop” that has been rumored for the Vita as the new model will retain the $299 price point for an upgraded system. The Wi-Fi version will still be available on the market for $249
false alarm people.Patent from 2011 ... Seems like one for the devkit.

Dude, I bought my 22nd a while back, never mind my 2nd.But when are you going to be buying a second Vita game?
I'd really like a price cut on memory cards, mine is full and I hate fridge cleaning.
