So, 60 compute units for the GPU?
Last edited:
as per ERA it means 60 CU's. 2 X of current ps5What means 30 wgps?
What the hell is "WGP" and "mts"?
Am I a tech illiterate? Never ever heard of whatever that is supposed to represent?
Edit: Calling it now, this is absolute bull
With FSR 3.0+, who knows?Legendary thread.
We getting 8k 30 fps games!
Agent Smith is the one virus that threatens and almost completely destroys everything, so yes, sounds like MSSo, Xbox is Agent Smith, is that it?
2x ps5 power is not enough for 4k.as per ERA it means 60 CU's. 2 X of current ps5
Doesn't it have 36 CUs, 40 CUS but 4 are inactive because of yields?as per ERA it means 60 CU's. 2 X of current ps5
If you are just hitting 60fps it’s more than enough2x ps5 power is not enough for 4k.
It will be a nice 1440p machine.
And that +60fps is enough2x ps5 power is not enough for 4k.

PS5 has 40CUs (36 active)as per ERA it means 60 CU's. 2 X of current ps5
All things point to a slim this year and a pro next year .. there a things for any tasteDisappointing if true. No need for a Pro this gen. How about a slim instead?
Also wondering if lack of a Pro enhanced CoD will make a difference in sales.
I mean 2 times power of current ps5.PS5 has 40CUs (36 active)
Series X has 56CUs (52 active)
Yes. 40CUs in the PS5, 4 being disabled, so 36CUs currently. We do not know the clocks speeds which are a factor.Doesn't it have 36 CUs, 40 CUS but 4 are inactive because of yields?
Well a 6900 xt is double ps5 power. It is not enough for 4k@60 fps so no.If you are just hitting 60fps it’s more than enough
Confirmed bomba.Trinity was the code name of the first detonation of a nuclear weapon.
We don't need native 4K. Waste. Of. Resources. 1440p/1800p reconstruction is plenty fine.Well a 6900 xt is double ps5 power. It is not enough for 4k@60 fps so no.
With higher frequency and IPC gain, yes.I mean 2 times power of current ps5.
Eh, considering performance of truly current gen that have been coming out, I don't see why Sony couldn't release a Pro version in over a year from now. There is a segment of gamers who just like talking about upgraded existing specs. And there are websites /youtubers with podcasts who like to capitalize on this need to theorize about upgrading existing tech.
There is no PS5 pro.
Macro and Micro, global, economic factors make a PS5 Pro a non starter. But obviously, people will discuss this fake news as if it's real, because...
has 60 CU big jump from the PS5 36
No, i expect an increaseThere would probably be a drop in clock speeds though, so it's likely that won't be a linear uplift in performance.
The higher PS5 clocks are what keeps it basically at parity with the Series X and its more powerful GPU in terms of pixel pushing power.
Lower clocks means cheaper cooling solution as well
We already have that right? We don't need native 4K. Waste. Of. Resources. 1440p/1800p reconstruction is plenty fine.
Especially when every PC gamer uses DLSS/FSR/XeSS, so why are we always falling back on the "native train" when it comes to consoles?
The Series X GPU is outdated in terms of frequencyThere would probably be a drop in clock speeds though, so it's likely that won't be a linear uplift in performance.

With FSR you really want FSR 2.0/2.1 quality upscaled at 4K, meaning it's rendered at 1440p. Otherwise it looks pretty bad in motion in a lot of games when blown up on a large TV.We already have that right?
Series Smith! If you think the codename has some form of familiarity, you’re right. Sony has used The Matrix codenames in the past, with the PlayStation 4 Pro under the codename ‘Neo’ and PlayStation VR under ‘Morpheus’.
So, Xbox is Agent Smith, is that it?
Bro even PS5 is slow for RDNA 2 Standards we are talking about a Architecture with run at 2.5ghz with ease. The Series X GPU is outdated in terms of frequency
Every RDNA 2 and RDNA 3 run at ps5 clock speeds and even higher at 2,8
That could explain the issues the series x is having , big GPU but slow frequency
