Perhaps they just decided everyone needed a downer after Thanksgiving.
 
So how many teases / games is that now? How many will there be in total. I thought I saw someone mention that there would be 10 more premier announcements after Batman: Arkham City and that Mass Effect game.

There should be at least 12.

As far as things that have come from Keighley or Spike directly, we have:

Batman: Arkham City
BioWare Mystery Project (Mass Effect Spinoff?)
'Murder Your Maker' (Activision game)
Resident Evil something (Raccoon City Online?)
Mystery EA Game (Battlefield 3?)
PS3 something (Uncharted 3?)
Microsoft something (Gears Kinect?)

We should have at least five more, which may or may not include Saints Row 3 and/or the Volition/del Toro lovecraftian horror action rpg.

A couple rumors are on the money, but a lot of them are so crazy wrong I don't know where people are coming up with this stuff.

alright just by what you said I can tell you mean uncharted 3 is wrong and so is gears of kinect since those are the only ones big enough to warrant you thinking they are retarded ass guesses. Possibly Mass Effect spinoff as well.

I think Gears and UC3 are actually pretty good guesses considering they are coming from credible sources like IGN and Kotaku, ehem :p . RE and Battlefield look like to be wrong to me.

Maybe Geoff is pulling a Jaffe and saying we're wrong about some stuff when in fact everything is 100% right.

I don't think BF3 is too crazy though, what else could they have.

edit: maybe the mass effect thing is the DLC for the PS3 version that will probably also come out on 360. Maybe it's something big.

The beta is happening in the Spring to boot, so they have to announce it soon.

Gears of War Kinect is the only thing that's especially dubious, unless Keighley is including the Saints Row 3 and Volition RPG in the crazy pile.
 
Activision's http://www.murderyourmaker.com/ site really does seem like it could be for Prototype 2, but I thought Activsion took those developers out back and had them shot.

I think Prototype was underrated here on GAF which I think is a little odd, especially considering how well liked Just Cause 2 is here, Prototype was basically the same thing, except you had even more ways to create chaos.

I hope it's Prototype 2.

Prototype was fun but repetitive, graphics were very limited and story was horrible. I couldn't see myself buying a sequel though unless they improve the formula.
 
Resident Evil could be the stretch, if all the guys who made the teaser did was Google zombies and pinch the assets.
 
I don't think we are getting any Kinect announcement, Uncharted 3 and a Mass Effect spin-off. I could see "Murder Your Maker" be Prototype 2 and the Resident Evil game being something else than the Racoon online game. You see where I'm going guys, hype down! :lol

Keighley may not be 100% sure on everything that will appear at the awards, or simply got his wires crossed.

I dont really know which crazy theories in this thread are too out there though. I thought everything so far seemed pretty reasonable.

I really hope this isn't going to be "Racoon City Online." As much as I love zombies in the RE series, bringing them back as the standard foes would be a big step backward IMO.

Well, it also has a biohazard symbol, so IMO the zombie game is almost certainly Resident Evil.

Yeah. So hard to say if they'd be capable of doing it. They could have given the sequel to another developer as well.

We know MS will be there with something, but perhaps Gears of Kinect is total BS, but you would think Cliffy would have totally killed the rumor rather than just saying it's not in Gears 3. Not sure what else is on the total crazy scale.

If Prototype 2 is in the works, it'll be interesting to see how much the engine has come along since last time. inFAMOUS 2 looks much (much) better than inFAMOUS and that will likely have a 2 year development time.

It would probably be better for both games if they released further apart. Sony is likely going for a June release.

I don't think Activision really cares about iNFAMOUS 2.

They usually release it on every platform possible.

I think Radical is very capable of doing a Prototype 2 there are still about 156 people employed. What is way enough even for two projects.

Prototype actually sold really well, and that's a major factor in determining what gets shown at the VGAs.
