Actually they couldnt. Not without breaking the game. Each mega is equivalent to a legendary pokemon. Im not asking for 140 new pokes but it kinda blows that we know more than half of the new kalos pokes already. Megas are cool and all but they arent new pokes.

Nah, 3rd gen had the right amount. Probably 1 or 2 less would be better though.

Yeah, I'd agree with Gen III having the best balance of legendaries. Maybe whittle the event mons down to one though.
totally agree. it makes them seem so much less special when there are so many in the game. i think gen 4 had like 14 legendaries? that's insane.

The most miserable part is that even if they are true, we can't trust the "leaks" so we sit waiting for more "leaks" that we can trust that will never come. A vicious cycle until release and we all go back and see that it was all true and we got everything we wanted leaked.
Agreed, I never use legendaries, I just feel like I'm "cheating" when I do. Not to mention you can't even use them while battling online so using them alongside the Pokemon I've hand raised makes it kind of pointless.

I was including evolutions which we can assume are going to be in the game too, such as Clauncher and Skrelp evolves.

I hate Pokemon leaks as much as I love them (love for the entertainment, hate having to wait to see what's real fake and when shit drags on).

It's not a pie, it's a barnacle, and is rather clever. I'm hoping it and the luchadore hawk are real. I also dig what appears to be Froakie's final evo, with the tongue forming a Shinobi-style scarf.for the love of christ, please let this be fake. That's reaching Klinklang territory.

Based on its name, binacle isn't a pair of anemones, it's a pair of barnacles.
Usually when you think of barnacles you think of this:
But when they feed they open up and look like this:
Who would come up with a barancle pokemon? Seems like the leak is real.

Hope the Froakie evo is fake... It doesn't look anything like the previous two and the name is totally different, but that's not exactly proof of anything. I'll be sad if two gens in a row the water starter with a great middle evo is ruined by the final one.

So WPM did a little post on those 3 pokes. He also notes that the poster's IP originates in Italy, which is coincidentally where the set of Pokemon Center images came from.

Eh I'm fine with 1 cover trio, 1 secondary trio, 1 duo, and maybe 2 singles, one being event related.
I think Oshawott line is pretty dull, but with Samurott rescuing the line.

Empoleon looks mile better than Prinplup. It also looks miles better than any other previous Water-type starter imo.

...when did I ever say it was a pie? I just quoted the first post that had the image. I already saw the other posts saying it was a sea anemone or w/e. I just think it looks like shit.
At least it's better than Klinklang in that I can actually tell what it's supposed to be. Maybe it can be redeemed with an evo or something, idk.
I can agree on the Luchadore hawk, though. 70 Pokes is a little disappointing, but I can't really complain since most of what they've shown is awesome so far.

I remember when people criticized Samurott, but as soon as Anime footage of him showed up, and showed him removing SWORDS from his arm things, suddenly he was the coolest thing ever.
Maybe Geninja has its tongue as a scarf, but the clouds and such show up in different attacks/animations.

It's not a sea anemone, either. It's a barnacle. Its name is even "Binacle," apparently.
I hope there's more than 70 new Pokémon, or if it is just 70 new Pokémon, I hope that's not including Mega Evolutions.
New designs are the best part of these games. Plus, Nintendo wants the world to discover them together. As it stands, if Megas are counted, we've already seen like 40-50 new Pokémon.
At the same time, I understand the Pokedex is ballooning out of control.

"Greninja" has nothing to do with frogs. It feels like one of those fake names everyone is embarrassed to have believed if a hoax. Or it'll be real and everyone can just be confused forever.

Pretty much. Much as I enjoy the games, I fear for the day where I'll have to memorize like 3,000 Pokes, lol.
I don't really hate Samurott or Greninja, but I really liked Dewott and think Frogadier is pretty awesome too. I don't like that the evolutions of those two look absolutely nothing like them. I especially don't like that the bubble/foam white beard/scarf thing goes away. Just seems like something that would go on all evolutions.
