I don't know why things like Rhyperior or Lickylicky are new and not the Mega Evolutions though. I'm fine with 70 pokemon, even though I wanted more, but Mega Evos are a really great addition too.
Hah, even if I was allowed, I couldn't possibly confirm that. Have only seen stuff that was already known.
Mijimaru, Futachimaru were based on Samurai naming right? The US names shat all over that only highlighting it in the final evolution.
This wouldn't be the first time a Pokemon's name was different from the others in its evolution line, would it?

With all of the leaks for XY coming from non-Japanese sources, I really hope we don't end up with a situation where they give up on releasing the games around the world at the same time. If nothing else, I imagine they'll be far more strict with review copies next time around.

It will be dissapointing if 70 is the total number of new pokemon if only because legendaries will be taking up a lot of that space. Well as long as some of my past favs are in the game I can make a nice team.

i can't believe they care that much. pictures on hardcore internet forums are one thing, full blown reveal of every pokemon on ign are another one.
they don't like the first but the latter would be terrible. this leak shit on 4 chan is free hype and marketing.

Well, yeah, I like to take things slow and enjoy everything. If those leaks are legit (you never know, in this photoshop world), then those people probably speed runned the entire thing for the sake of leaking.

Ironically, this is the gen with the fewest leaks/unknowns for the West.
Can you tell us who your starter is?
Most of those pics look legit, the one of the overworld is obviously real since that area has never been shown before and way too detailed to be a fake. Frokie3 is the one that looks a little off to me, not the whole tounge-scarf thing but what I'm assuming is his ears? The coloration on them, particularly the left ear looks strange, not to mention the clear lines across his face that look out of place. Did the leaker confirm his type?
It's less than two weeks so I'm sure we'll find out for sure soon, not to mention the closer to release the more stuff will be leaked obviously.

if 70 is indeed true and this and the inevitable option with 3 whatever those things are, takes up two roster spots, i'm gonna be so mad.

Because they are actually evolutions. Megas are just form changes that put pokes on the level of legends. SSJ3 goku is still just goku.
Based on its name, binacle isn't a pair of anemones, it's a pair of barnacles.

Ugh, I really hope we don't get more than 9 legendaries at the most. Gen IV and V had waaaaaaaaaay too many legendaries, and so many of them were absolutely unnecessary and pointless.
Cover trio, second trio, maybe one or two singulars, and an event. That's enough.

Yes, but they're still a new Pokemon design. Imagine introducing 140 Pokemon and 50 more Megas. Insane. Developers could easily make most of them new Pokemon. It's their choice they didn't.
