I must be the only one who thinks that there is more to a Pokémon games than new Pokémon designs. Of course, new Pokémon are great and exciting, but given that we already 649, that is far from being what excites me the most about a new Pokémon game. The new region, new characters, new music, gameplay and graphical improvements, etc. These things are also very exciting. Hell, I am looking forward for the STORY of a Pokémon game, thanks to Black/White's awesome plot. So, 70 new Pokémon wouldn't bother me at all, if everything else about XY happen to be great.

I like the concept, hate the name. If you have to combine those two words, I think Luchawk sounds way better. Also confused as to why the model seems to have pointy feathers and the sprite feathers are more round.

Perhaps the foam can form along the tongue, spilling from the Greninja's mouth? And maybe its tongue, aside from looking like a ninja scarf, can also be used as a whip, or a slingshot to launch stones (which is apparently what Frogadier does, shooting stones wrapped in foam, according to the official website).
Ah, "Greninja" equals "grenouille" (French for frog) combined with "ninja." Makes sense, since Frogadier's name is partly French, as well. Not to mention the whole "inspired by France" setting.

Wow, those images really blew up. Now that I can see Hawlucha in a bit better light from Pokebeach's secondary images, I kind of like him.
If legit, poor Froakie fans getting that Second Stage Awesome Syndrome where the second stage is far cooler than the end and first stages. You should note that Charmander and Treeko suffer from this as well.

I don't think Samurott is bad, it's just weird that it suddenly becomes quadrupedal in all of the artwork, but apparently can also fight with its forelegs? Also, that "seamitar" pun is unforgivable.

I like how seamitar sounds more than scalchop. Rolls better off from the tongue and sounds like an actual word (scimitar).
Too bad Pokémon Bank don't launch until december, or you could use it to get every starters if you only have one 3DS/game.

Yep, looks like the leaking has begun. I've been checking this thread to confirm for myself - the first few leaks typically aren't horrible but they get progressively worse and worse.

Suicune's my favorite Pokemon so I really liked the focus on it.

Yeah, my gut says Greninja is real, precisely because he seemed so weird at first. The name makes sense (French word for "frog," plus ninja), he shares certain commonalities with Frogadier, and the use of his tongue (something uncommon in all frog Pokémon to date) to wrap around like a shinobi's scarf, and possibly the foam can form along it from his mouth, it all seems quite plausible he's the real deal.
What's wrong with a stretchy tongue scarf that presumably doubles as a sweet-ass whip and grappling hook?

I just think it looks goofy to have his tongue wrapped around his face at all times. Like Drago said it would've made more sense if it was a bubble scarf.
Maybe his tongue is too long to keep in his mouth? So, it comes out one side, wraps twice and trails off behind him. Maybe he licks off his foam upon evolving? Maybe he can also use his tongue as a prehensile whip?
Yep. I much prefer the fake, simply because the bubbly legs look weird, the ears are odd, and the tongue scarf is way shittier than bubble scarf, which was cool.

Honestly, I find Greninja's ears way more aggravating than his tongue-scarf. I'll have to see a better shot but so far I don't really like it which is a shame because Frogdre 3000 was a great mid-evo.
edit: it actually looks pretty cool in the drawing below. I need some Sugimori art before I can give a final verdict.

I will search for an early trade, if the evolution is legit. Hopefully someone in the future OT will trade me a Froakie egg.
I am still going to pick Fennekin as my first Pokémon though, unless its final evolution looks horrible.Yeah, I agree. Never got why some people thought it looked cool. Its face looks so terrible.

Not sure ... what to think.
I hate that these photos are Bigfoot level stupid in angle and clarity and that there's only ONE frog pic. Yet that frog looks like something GF would do.
Also don't like how our gaf reviewers haven't stepped in to slap these down yet like they did for the latest Pokebeach leaks. Really don't wanna point that out but that's the reasonable thing to look at.
And on top of that I'm SURE GF has said "over 100 new Pokemon" for XY SOMEWHERE.
Soooo ... my guess is that the pics may be legit (which is why they haven't been called out by people in the know yet) BUT the info is troll-level fake (meaning that you can troll without having people confirm your info is trollin ... can't say that the info is fact but not the pics without confirming the pics are real Pokemon).
"there's only 70 new Pokemon this gen .../ Nothing to do post game ..." feels like the most Debbie Downer stuff you can say. We would actually know more than HALF the Pokemon in this gen if that's the case from official release (not even counting logical evolves we know will come, like the starters or that rabbit) and that's not happening.
