I'm confused by the also but yes, all the products second hand, that way the money doesn't go to Nintendo
So you'll play all the games later than the release date then. Interesting.

Hay Zeus! lmao

Skimming through that thread, no one was condemning EA or MS either, while some here are acting like Nintendo are the devil of the industry for maybe making a similar decision.
So yeah, you'll have to understand why some see it as hypocrisy. While we're at it, try to understand why some think the negative overreaction is silly when Wii U owners are still able to buy and play the game on their Wii U console.
Don't think I don't understand the irony, in fact that's the best part of this principled (not substantial, as I explained earlier) decision
Don't flatter yourself, there's nothing principled about wanting to play Nintendo's games without giving them any money. Again, it's your right, but the horses aren't as high as you think.
Well for one theres Chobel. Who instead of getting up in arms about it called it XBone's "system seller" aka

Thank you! This is what I was looking for, someone who is sad Nintendo will not see the money for it. You do care!
Vote with your dollars.
I'm not sad at all. I actually find this whole discussion amusing.
Then what is wrong with buying used games on principle? You seem to be contradicting yourself.
And just to clarify, my issue has nothing to do with others being able to play it before I do, that aspect of the staggered release does not influence my decision making.
Fake outrage is a beautiful thing. And all of it due to a rumour too.

Hateboners for Nintendo... I never understood why some people have to get up in arms everytime there is a minor (if at all) negative thing about Nintendo?
At the same time people defend Sony's horribly customer service and unbelievably the fact that they pay for their online gaming on top of the internet bill. This forum...

I am
edit: and The Last Guardian and Final Fantasy XV were never going to come out for the Wii U.
Buying exclusively used games to save yourself money is fine, but if you think you're "making a statement" against the publisher then you're totally deluded.
When you buy a used game, it means one player has been taken out of the pool and another added. The publisher already got "one player's worth" of revenue. It doesn't matter if the end user changes because the net result is the same.

Maybe it's because some people don't care about what EA or MS does?
The net result is definitely not the same, I would be taking it away from the pool from other people who will buy used instead of new, and with a game that will ship as many copies as Zelda there will be no shortage of used copies on the market. People who choose to buy used when they typically buy new games affects the bottom line.

So you are now buying Nintendo games and devices new not second hand?
HandsomeCharles said:It's exactly the same. If there are 10 copies of a game sold and you buy your copy from one of those owners, there aren't 11 people playing it simultaneously, it's still 10. You have incurred no additional cost to the publisher, it's exactly the same as if you had never bought the game in the first place.
(Not to mention DLC or subscriptions where they could actually make money off you)
Do you actually believe in this godawful argument? It's not like TLG or FFXV were artificially delayed to sell a new system. They were delayed because they couldn't finish the game for years because of problems, to the point that was better releasing in another console.Don't forget to stop off at the The Last Guardian thread frothing at the mouth about there being no PS3 version.

What you actually should think about Sony games are stuff like Gran turismo 6 or the last of us, released at the last breath of the ps3, that could even be delayed for the ps4, but they didn't.
And it's not like Sony treats their custormers well, they are both guilty of doing shit to their fans, but this time is Nintendo that's doing and after the wiiu, Nintendo is not on the best terms with everyone to get a free pass while making shit decisions.
The difference is that BoTW was announced for WiiU and is coming out for WiiU, while TLG was announced for PS3 and will only come out on PS4. Yet the BotW situation of coming out one week later is much more enraging because Nintendo´s involved.Do you actually believe in this godawful argument? MK8´s DLC was half the game, you´ll be missing a ton of content if they do something similar in Switch with other games.I used (lol pun) to, please learn to read better.
Your explanation of the situation supports my argument that Nintendo won't profit from my used purchases... and I will definitely boycott DLC and digital downloads as well.
And to ensure that my buying a used copy is unlikely to affect another's decision to buy new or used I will buy used through the internet from a single person as opposed to Gamestop/Target/Best Buy's used sections, where another potential used consumer may be tempted to buy new if they are sold out of used copies.

? Are you for real? I never commented on the game being delayed on another topic. You should learn to read. The same source that says the Wii U version is delayed says the game wasn't finished early enough to complete localisation due to the amount of testing required.
Your bias and tunnel vision with those comments is quite frighteningly stupid.
Well, Sony is involved with TLG also. But it's clear that they coudln't finish the game at the time and, being frankly, the game is niche as hell. It's not like they did something like that with uncharted or gran turismo, something that actually could sell systems. The difference is that BoTW was announced for WiiU and is coming out for WiiU, while TLG was announced for PS3 and will only come out on PS4. The game is being artificially delayed one week while being finished just so Nintendo can sell their new system. I guess it's too hard for you to understand since you think it's the same situation as TLG.

Your first paragraph is literally how a boycott works. A consumer can't force a loss on a company without theft, boycott is withholding one's support/money.They won't profit, but they won't make a loss. That makes your boycott effectively useless. You're not punishing them because from their perspective you don't even exist as a potential customer. They don't include you in their forecasts and you will not have any noticeable effect on their profits what so ever.
Also I call bullshit. You get so riled up about a one week delay that I'm pretty certain you won't be able to stand the similar delays you have to wait for copies to appear on eBay, auctions to end and have the things shipped to you. You'll probably give up before you even start.
What exactly is stopping Sony to release the promised PS3 version of TLG ? Technical issues ? The game looks already like a PS3 one but fine, just release a downgraded version, just like Nintendo is doing with Zelda.
So, what's the reason that make it so different from Zelda ?
I knew that you will interpret it somehow wrongly, so I edited my post before you posting, but it was too late obviously.
But let me ask again. Did you buy the Wii U and and Wii U games as new?

Lol at people upset. I Critize companies all the time, but delayed games is not one of them. No localizations and region locking drives me nuts (in part because i Think it's bad business in the long run), delays? Nah.

As I've said in previous posts, yes.
How should i know? Do i work at Sony to say if it's feasible? You have to ask to them. What exactly is stopping Sony to release the promised PS3 version of TLG ? Technical issues ? How could you! I thought you're a man of principles! How could you buy those new when Nintendo pull the TP shit on Gamecube owners?
The key difference is I did not care about Twilight Princess because it was a weirdo furry bug chaser game and I've known that since it was announced. I gave the game a shot eventually but my senses were right about that one, gave up about half way through out of boredom.
