And using the "not going to mention anything" line and then naming specifics is really awful :P In any case, rope glitch aside Crysis 3 as a whole was very nicely polished and I didn't experience any other bugs or crashing issues. Not sure why they haven't fixed it if that's the case(haven't replayed the first level since launch) but it's one thing.

Crysis 3 was a polished turd. I bought it for $60 and I felt massively ripped off. I posted details in the twitch pax thread yesterday. It is one of the most bland and boring fps shooter I have ever played.

Anyway I will never buy a Crytek game at full price ever again

It's perfectly fine to to think it wasn't very good(even though I enjoyed it), but you were responding to my comment about Crytek's usual polish standards in particular.

Yup. I had faith in them after the first Crysis, which I thought was good, maybe even great, but it has only gone one way since. Crysis 2 was bad, crysis 2 was really bad. Such a shame.

The game is in development so you've got to expect bugs. I'd rather have a buggy preview of a game than no preview at all. So I'd give this a pass. Now the gameplay itself on the other hand...
 
Needs some polish. Still janky in many places. I was playing Arkham City last night - it should at least match that in straight combat and there should be more to the game than what I've seen so far.
 
I remember when the press said it looked better in new previews. Those sneak press fucks.

But seriously, if they don't have the gameplay itself ready, then Jesus, I'm worried. I was going to give the game the benefit of the doubt since it could have improved, but this is new levels of terrible.

So much for feeling The Dark Knight in this game. Don't know which reporter thought it felt like that.
 
It's a launch game that ditched Kinect on a console where every unit comes with Kinect, whether you want it or not, and opted for this instead?

I always had faith in them ever since I downloaded the first demo of Far Cry back in the day. Far Cry fell apart after thr trigens showed up...I still bought Crysis at full price and the game was great and Warhead was even better!!

But Crysis 2 & 3 were extremely bland and boring...and this looks just as bad. I don't have blind faith in this studio after going through Crysis 3

This game actually looks fairly interesting to me. I'm not completely sold on the combat, but the setting is awesome. Sadly this is the only game coming to the XBone anytime soon that I actually want to play, so it could be awhile before I get to check it out. It will probably be the first game that I watch a lets play of though, as it will be the first game in a very long time that I want to check out, and don't have access to.

As an aside, random YouTubers have really been killing it during this convention season. The mainstream sites tend to just show you a video of one of their editors talking about the game they played, while random people on YouTube actually show you the game. I don't know about you guys, but I would much rather see off screen gameplay than a video of someone talking about the game with some spliced in B-roll footage that we have seen countless times.

Two youtube vids arent going to change my opinion. I bought the game at launch and I played it at launch. The ai was broken. Try visting the crysis 2 ot and read some impressions
 
Is this a launch day title? Seems like there's a ton of bugs that need to be ironed out in a very short time?
 
Really want this game to be good. Couple things I would love to see is the players actually running around with open wounds from all the cuts they take instead of no visable damage. Its Gladiator shit, it's supposed to be bloody and gruesome. Damn Crtyek yall fucking this up.
 
Actually this looks like it could be a lot of fun. Whats with the obnoxious A prompt though? Is that really indicative of the gameplay? I hope not. At least if I press X X X, Y Y Y, I will be sucked right?

Yep, that's the best raw combat footage of this game yet. It shows that if you don't button mash, and actually play with a slower and more deliberate pace, the combat looks far more satisfying. Players with skill make this game look much better.

You're seriously judging this game from that shitty quality video, when there's far better videos of the same exact stuff from Gamescom that showcases much better graphics?

edit: Would love for THAT footage to be posted. It shows the game in a far superior light imo.

And he claims he only supports Crytek for the tech. I call BS. He defends Crytek at every given opportunity. Be it visuals, gameplay, AI et all.

Crytek doesn't even need a forum PR rep with KKRT00 around. I don't think I've ever even seen him post a single negative things about Crytek or any of their games.
 
Thank god that i have plenty of games for the Xbone launch so that i can just don't care at all about this lol

Maybe because it genuinely does look rough and not fun to play?

I think the water really sticks out like a sore thumb. The initial footage for this game actually looked really good to me graphically, I don't know if it's just MP that's struggling or what.

Are you for real? That warrior persecution complex. I don't know how you can look at videos and GIFs (even many of the journo impressions and previews) of this game and genuinely believe the negativity is about the console and not the game.

Irrespective of the platform, this game would have been torn apart.
