Love my Note 2 and there's no way I'm going to a smaller screen on my next phone, might consider getting this after we get some more specific info on it.

I'm still in my GS3, how big of a jump a potential Note 4 is in comparison?

Well the battery life, screen size, resolution (2,560 x 1,440 from 720p) will be a humungous jump. The RAM should also help with the bulk of Touchwiz and multitasking if even 4GB RAM is true, although 3GB is still a huge jump. In terms of real world performance, you'll see a definite difference in terms of speed, although Touchwiz might hamper some of that. The S Pen features ill be a huge difference too.

Everything else will honestly be minor differences to the average consumer. Even some of the above, average consumers wouldn't notice or care about.

we're going back to phone pen again. so retro
Retro? You have the best touch screen of theses days AND a amazing pen with 1080 levels of pressure. It's more option than touchscreen alone.

I use the pen of my note 2 all the time and I want another new phone with that amazing plus, or no buy.

I was at a BBQ yesterday with a guy who works for Samsung here in NJ. He had the Galaxy Alpha and I was wowed by how awesome it felt in my hands compared to my galaxy s4. The metal and back materials felt great. He said the note 4 is going to be built the same exact way (take that with a grain of salt but it's what the leaks look like anyways.)

Really excited for Wednesday.

My Galaxy SIII Just busted and I thought I was going to need to buy a phone at the worst possible time (right now, since I'm leaving the state for a wedding this weekend and need a phone).

Luckily a friend had another SIII I can borrow until the flagships come out so I can kick back and look forward to the news and releases coming up. Not excited about Samsung anymore but we'll see what they come up with.

Lets see if Samsung can deliver again.

Loved my Note 2, would have kept it longer if the screen didn't finally break after 2 years of double digit falls. Last one was the one that actually cracked it. I messed it up by trying to fix it.

On a note 3 now and of course I love it.

So the stream starts in six hours? My older bro has a note 2, he's been looking forward to the note 4! He's been waiting for this event haha
I am waiting for the galaxy s6 : )

Note 2 was too good, I'm still super content with mine, note 4 looks disappointing so far. Likely going to just wait for something else. I hope to be excited today.

What's the point of that little edge screen? I can't imagine a use... At all.

Rolling notifications like a pager you can have a quick glance at.

I think it will be a total gimmick. Nice that they try things, but they have more misses than hits for me.

From phonearena:

In the Galaxy Note Edge, the side of the smartphone previously reserved for physical buttons, is now occupied with a usable touchscreen: the picture here shows how the side displays basic information about the time, battery status, signal level, but also shows missed notifications. This could be a nice way to quickly check whatÂ’s new on your phone without actually unlocking it.

If we lived in a world where phone screens were perfectly resilient I'd be interested in the edge. It's hard to think of an elegant case solution that'll allow unencumbered use of the edge screen while protecting it. I like the idea of a screen along the side like that though.
