-Redraws let you remove artifacts in the menu.
I figured this out early but I'm sure a lot of players have no clue. Here are some tips related to that and other things for those still early/struggling:
- if you start a run from Biome 1 and pick up a bunch of artefacts know that they will be outclassed later on (+4 instead of +3 for example)
- you may be hesitant to pick up artefacts during eclipse because of debuffs but keep in mind those debuffs disappear permanently after taking down that Biome's boss
- once certain upgrades are unlocked you can bypass triggering eclipse to progress in certain situations (Biome 2 for example once you have grappling hook). This can make it easier to get to the boss but remember you earn more currency in eclipse
- keys, keys are your friend, don't waste them! You will often stumble upon multiple yellow blocks in a row, don't waste your keys if you already opened one, the next one will have a minimal upgrade or none at all (equal power level). Instead open one relatively early on then try to use that arm until the end of the level, grab a new one then, the power differential will be massive
- the best place to use keys though? Locked doors (obviously). Make sure you ALWAYS have at least 1 key in the tuck for any locked doors you come across
- certain upgrades you acquire later on can *only* be used during eclipse. Remember that tip about skipping eclipse rooms above

? Keep in mind you will miss out on those optional paths too
- you should always do Nightmare Strands, the rewards eclipse (cough cough) anything you get outside of them and the first time through will give you permanent upgrades. If you've already used up your revive this is a chance to get it back. If you still have your revive it's insurance if you happen to die in there *and* you will get it back upon clear
- stop thinking of the shield as a defensive tool and more of an offensive one. Why? Because absorbing energy fills your power bar allowing you to unleash more devastating arm attacks. The one you start the game with is still my favourite and once you've built up your Power to hold 3-4 charges you can absolutely devastate any combat encounter the game throws at you
Ultimately Saros is a waaaaay easier game than Returnal with it's comprehensive permanent upgrades and *especially* with it's modifiers (borderline cheating lol). Still a challenge though so hopefully these tips help. In the end that old, sage advice holds true here too: git gud
