I don't know what's the deal over there in the US but both SKUs are pretty much available everywhere here in Canada (or should I say Ontario).
Sony screwed up royally if they are having these problems when GOW3 is around the corner.

dunno why they do this since many of these are actual Stores and not just "persons" like ebay , the cheaper "new " one from these sellers is $380+ , and the $775 douchebag put the PS3 as new but in "Comments" he said it has 500GB HDD ( so the sellers broke the seal already)

I was going to buy a ps3 for ff13 but NOOOOOOOOOO. No ps3s anywhere near me here in Atlanta. Not even BJ's has them as part of their overpriced bundles. sigh Sony announce the new SKU or ship out more stuff. Don't leave people like me with money to spend on your products waiting

Went to Best Buy to pick up my friend a stand alone Blu-ray player, swung by the game section and zero PS3's in the store. 250 and 120 totally out of stock.

Well, atleast we know that they underestimated PS3 Slim's success which means that its doing better than anyone expected. I frankly dont buy the "sony is creating artificial demand" argument. Sony knows that FF13 and GoW 3 are PS3's standard bearers for Q4, and intentionally screwing with the hardware numbers in the month those two games are released is ridiculous.TheThunder said:

Did you check gamestop in different areas? Their website checks which stores around your zipcode are carrying it. Also it's not as if sony is just posting huge numbers. Their selling what, 120,000 a month or so in Japan and less than 300,000 a month in the US. Surely those sort of numbers shouldn't cause shortages.
I've said this in other threads but this isn't a situation like the wii where demand was just so incredible they couldn't keep up.

Amazon and other stores should get more stock this week. Amazon had a huge restock last week Tuesday, so they'll probably be the first ones.

FYE are a bunch of fucking dirtbags. I live in a town that only has 12000 inhabitants, and ours jacked the prices of $60 games to $64.99. Unfortunately Walmart and Kmart were the only other alternatives, and they aren't known for getting games on release. They subsiquently closed, but before they did I inquired why the price hike, I was told "we don't set the prices Xbox and Sony do" even when I argued their own website sells games at MSRP. So not very surprised about that bullshit.
