If you have it digital, you can upgrade to the PS4 version for free.I probably should have done this for Destiny instead of settling for the PS3 version but fuck it, I just bought a PS4 so I could play this when it comes out. HYPE.

You've done good, my friend. You've done very good.
Here's all of the videos. It looks like Game Informer had a feature on the game last year when nobody knew it existed. There's some really good stuff here.Nice find. I swear I must have watched at least a dozen hours of game play footage alone. I think the replay value will be significant which I think will help justify its purchase for those who don't like single-player only games.
Are you not reading my posts? Im not making a case to the games quality. Its clear your looking for an argument and not interested in answering my question.

I think that's all of them. I'll update if I find more.
Nuuvem is great, they have good prices and will make sure and let you know if the game is region locked (in English even!). I have bought a few games from them and never had an issue.Any place to buy this game cheaper? Any rebates?
Anyone ever tried Nuuvem?

Seems you can get it for 29.99$
Get out of that cave!!
Where's that from?
Archive here. Starts around 12 minutes exactly.
Here, I post a link a few pages back:

Sweet and to the point, I like it. Come on WB, put some muscle behind this thing!
This thread is reminding me of the days before Batman: Arkham Asylum (although not 100% exactly since I think there was more skepticism about Arkham Asylum due to the history of licensed franchises and the art style). I'm not saying that this game can reach that pinnacle that Rocksteady reached, but it definitely has a chance to. I hope it does because it would be awesome to have an awesome Lord of the Rings game franchise. I also wouldn't mind if they set this game in its own timeline within Middle Earth so when Tolkien's fiction may contradict events in this game (or series) then they can easily explain that away by saying that this is their own timeline of events with alterations while they still heavily rely on Tolkien's legendary universe.
EDIT: Actually, from looking at the story video from Game Informer, it seems that's the way they are going with the story. Acknowledging and being respectful of the source material, while being their own take on the universe. I just didn't want them to try to make the story with the source material 100% because I doubt they would be able to do that since they aren't Tolkien and they will inevitably have a story that wouldn't probably work within Tolkien's universe anyway. I have a feeling this take will make magic a lot more apparent and powerful than its use in the source material where it was more subtle.
I don't see where they can go from here though. Even if it's an AA style quality game, there doesn't seem to be much or any room for a sequel. Or are we going to have even more "adventures of the ranger who killed 4 million orcs but was not worth mentioning until this time"? Like they can do other LOTR licensed games, but so many of the mechanics here seem tied up with a unique and very specific story.
Is PS4 confirmed 60fps? I would get on my new PC but I'm a trophy nut
I think any good writer and a clever team could find a plausible way. Stop being so negative you.
I still can't decide if I want to get this or not. Never really been into LOTR, I know the basics of the lore but nothing in depth. The gameplay looks like it'd grab me, but I don't know if the world it's wrapped up in would. Hmmmm, I'll probably just have to watch more footage and read the reviews when they get posted.

Such things have never stopped any company in the history of games from finding a way to make a sequel if it meant a decent chance at earning good money, so I doubt those issues will prevent it here. Like you said, somehow this dude is super important but didn't get mentioned until now...so it already doesn't make sense. Him killing a few thousand more orcs in a sequel isn't gonna be any more silly, as far as lore goes.I don't see where they can go from here though. Game is great.
Arkham City + Assassin's Creed + Orcs, more or less.
Surprisingly good story & acting, too. Also best use of PS4 controller mic to date.

An easy fix: There was another ring made in secret... not to rule them all, but to change all. ALTERNATE REALITY, INFINITE SEQUELS!
The only problem will be naming the sequels. Probably Shadow of _____ series. (Admittedly no less awkward than Batham: Arkman's naming conventions.)

But like, Wraith powers? Nemesis system? War chiefs? Like anybody could be a warrior with magic powers but so much of this, both story and gameplay, seems based on this character of the wraith.
If they made the series "Middle Earth: [Subtitle]" that would be much better than Shadows of X.
When are the reviews due? No interest in the game personally, but I'm thinking about buying it for a gift.
26th?When are the reviews due?
Embargo for console versions is Sept 26th, IIRC. PC version will have zero coverage until release.
It just had about an hour of live, unedited footage a day or two ago.
Pretty close to release.... At least the previews seem positive.Embargo for console versions is Sept 26th, IIRC. PC version will have zero coverage until release.
Shadow of Hobbiton. A game where you play as Gollum and murder shirelings. Avoid the sherriffs, manipulate the meals, and make a nemesis of all warponies.
Gollum will be the Celebrimbor, Smeagol can be the Talion.
I would buy it.
