Shitty games that your dumb ass paid full price for

This may or may not incite some defense posts, but:

I actually preordered it and paid for expedited shipping.

In my defense, I was expecting it to live up to Mass Effect. I was very, very wrong.

Not only do I disagree

but this post make me irrationally angry

Amazing Spider-Man 2. I was so, so dumb. I should've used that 60 bucks to get Wolf TNO instead.

I gave my brother shit for purchasing that mess of a game. Look on the bright side though, I think it retailed for $50 and not $60, but sadly you both still had to experience it.

I agree, wholeheartedly. Mass Effect 2 was my favorite of the franchise, and at the very least I was just happy I didn't have to use the Mako anymore. That thing sucked!

I'm not sure I'd call them shitty but I certainly didn't like them:
Star Ocean 3
Suikoden IV
Brutal Legend
Assassin's Creed III
Mass Effect 3
Resident Evil 6
Yakuza: Dead Souls (I love you Yakuza but come on)
Child of Light

more like, expect to finish it in 3 hours

unbelievably hyped. Paid £80 for it. Regret the shit out of it

Not necessarily a bad game but I wish I didn't buy Lords of the Fallen at full price. Same with Shadows of Mordor. Oh and The Evil Within. Mainly because I haven't played enough of them to justify the price. And Smash bros wii u, holy crap probably played that for 15min, got it on day 1.

Bad games I paid full price for - Call of Duty Advanced Warfare. CoD Ghosts. Dead Island.

Watch Dogs, only played 25 minutes, and I usually try to get more into it (that is spend more time with it ), but this game had me bored out of my mind.

Brink

Destiny

MCC

After the last two I'm never pre-ordering anything ever again.

Hey, that's my list

Seriously never pre-ordering again. Makes me mad that I bought the digital version of Destiny. MCC gameplay is great but the game just doesn't work 90% of the time.

I got the PC version from ebay for under 1/2 price within the week of its release. Was worth it.

AC: Unity, MCC, Destiny, Medal of Honor (Danger Close version)

There are others, but let's just stick with the more recent stuff to hammer home the point at how f*cked the industry was this year

I wish I played medal of honor before I bought it for full price. What a turd that ended up being.

Killzone PS4. Bought it at the midnight PS4 launch. Luckily Canadian games were $59 then not the $69 as they are now.

I was young and dumb and bought it launch day without reading a single review or anything.
Was expecting to actually be able to use the toa's abilities rather than running around firing generic energy blasts.

Dragon Age: Inquisition

In all fairness, I do not think it is bad game. However, had I known what the experience was going to be like, I would have waited for the goty edition steam sale.

*still play MCC daily and doesn't regret it at all*

Anyway, top of the list is without a doubt Gears of War: Judgment. In fact, outside of getting the LE of Dead Space 2 (I liked the game, the LE was just stupid) it's probably my only major gaming regret. Goddamn that game man. It was so bad it caused a massive increase in Gears 3 online players. Weakest campaign of the series by a wide, wide margin, so few multiplayer maps and they were all mode specific, cut the multiplayer roster down to like 1/5 of Gears 3 (even with the pre-order only characters that were like half the roster), cut Horde and Beast and their replacement was just OK, etc. Plus, the gameplay cut out a lot of what made Gears special. All of this following the MASSIVE Gears 3 which was just plain fantastic. Probably not just the biggest drop on quality for a series, but total content as well. And worst of all, I bought it rather than BioShock Infinite at the time. With the season pass.

I really enjoyed Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 on Dreamcast, and this looked like it was trying to go for that design so I was really excited for it.

So tragic.

Something like that probably wouldn't happen again. These days I keep more up to date on what's going on and how games are progressing, so I can usually see the warning signs before hand.

The latest Sonic for example, it was made pretty apparent how mediocre it was before it came out in the UK.

The last game I bought for full retail price was Ninja Gaiden for the original Xbox. No regrets.

I did get College Slam and Rise 2 Resurrection when I first got my Playstation.

You know, I can't really think of any games that were actually bad that I got suckered into paying full price for.

- MCC isn't a shit game; it's a buggy game.
- I didn't play Oblivion for more than 30 minutes lifetime, but it's not a shit game; it just didn't gel with me.

IDK. I usually wait for reviews on games or get them at big discounts.

I was a Spider-Man fanboy, what can I say?

Yep, bought this instead of Gears of War with my allowance money (WHY). Amazing Spider-man 2 ended my habit of buying shitty licensed Spider-man games. I will no longer accept Activision's bullcrap unfinished licensed poop.

Other full priced blunders:

Resident Evil 6: holy crap I hated the game for the first few minutes of Jake's campaign (after the already ass intro). There were explosions everywhere knocking my camera around and the game kept taking control away. It just felt clunky and the level design was so restrictive. I only beat Jake's campaign and then sold the game.

Saints Row The Third: my most hyped game EVER, even bought the strategy guide and would have gotten the collectors edition with the Zimos headset if I had the money. Goddamn it removed so many features it might as well been Saints Row 0. And Steelport is ass.

Red Faction Armageddon: uh, making a habit of pissing on fans of previous games now aren't we Volition? It was a linear mediocre TPS after the destruction fest that was Guerilla (which already crapped on fans of FPS Red Faction).

Saints Row IV: I fucking hate you Volition, don't have anything else to say about this game

Dragon Age: Inquisition: Ubi-quests galore. And LOL at that "tactical" view.

"One mans trash is another mans treasure."
What prompted me to write this a is the mention of The Evil Within. One of my personal favorites of last year.

For me, which will probably prove my chosen quote above it is Sunset Overdrive. Just did not click whatsoever.
