Shitty games that your dumb ass paid full price for

Hellgate: London. Collector's Edition. With a life-time sub.

Sigh...

I bought the collector's edition, but didn't get the sub (seemed silly that it required one to me). That one sure did crash and burn quickly, but I did enjoy the game while it lasted.

LA Noire.

It looked like fun and my god was it beautiful, but it was just a shit game to play. It was one of the most unfun games I've ever played.

Also, Destiny. For obvious reasons.

I very nearly purchased DNF when it came out, I'm not sure why but I woke up one morning and thought "fuck it.". My card got refused at Tesco because of some security measure thing with my bank, I'm glad.

Battlefield 4. It might not be shitty now but it was when it came out.

I bought lair for £2.50 one time, that sucked.

GTA4 (imo). I fell for the reviews and hype. I didn't like GTA3, and didn't have interest in GTA4 myself, but then the reviews came out.

Was the wake up call I needed, now I get games based off interest, and I don't pay full price for them due to E3 preorder deals, so usually end up getting games at around $20 off on launch day. Haven't played a game that I found bad ever since then (at least what I've bought). And any games I find not worth the money, I can make most of the money back for by selling, and all the games I've gotten have been worth a playthrough.

Although, if I hadn't found a coworker to play Destiny with (played like 30-40 hours with him), Destiny would've fallen into this category.

Marvel ultimate alliance 2

The previous games in the xmen marvel series were okay, and preordering got you juggernaut! It ended up so dissapointing.

The absolute worst part: I passes up batsman arkham asylum to get it. barman just has one hero while ua2 has all the great marvel heroes! I was so dumb.

DESTINY. Not only did I buy the game I also pre-ordered the DLC. Taught me a lesson I had always wanted to learn though, never pre-order anything (even though I made one exception with the witcher)

I wouldn't call it "sh*tty", but I would put Titanfall on my list.

Paid full price for what felt like an incomplete game that I got bored of after about 2 weeks.

Had it been $39.99, I would have felt better about it.

But for $59.99, I expect a whole hell of a lot more than what it shipped with.

Hmm has to be Destiny, DJ Hero and Sonic Unleashed. DJ Hero wasn't that bad but didn't play it enough to justify the purchase. Also hated the nightime in unleashed, there was far to much of that trash and apparently it was even worse for the Wii u. Destiny is one that I got extremely bored and frustrated once I hit 20, didn't want to waste time on the RNG.

MGS4. I knew I didn't like the series, but GAF got me to buy into the hype. Also, Destiny.
Mgs4 was not only my first ps3 game but my first mgs game(also my first stealth game). Yea I didn't understand what was going on but for what it's worth I really enjoyed the gameplay and the cutscenes were nice to look at. It got me really into the franchise.

True that. I paid like $30 (Traded in another failed purchase, CoD: Ghosts) for TF on PC. Played through the campaign and got bored.

Meanwhile it goes on sale for like $5 on Origin a year later. What a waste.

White Knight Chronicles 2. What a heap of garbage.
I was so desperate for a new JRPG that I just bought it without researching it. Never again. I learned my lesson.

DESTINY. Not only did I buy the game I also pre-ordered the DLC. Taught me a lesson I had always wanted to learn though, never pre-order anything (even though I made one exception with the witcher)

This is me exactly...except I've stuck to my guns. Witcher may get my money, but not until launch. Destiny and DLC fleeced me good.

My last was probably Nintendogs & Cats for 3DS. I was too thirsty during that weak 3DS launch. Never buying a console at launch again.
I mean it's a fun game but yea.

I regretted having purchased Ultraman for SNES instead of Super Castlevania or Zelda LTTP. I didn't know any better as a kid. Also Drakken for SNES... I remember being so frustrated with it and even having nightmares.

Duke Nukem Forever is probably the worst I paid full price for. Other Notables:
Rage (driver issues at launch, plus boring game)
Skyward Sword (couldn't get over the controls)

We all have at least one game in our collection that makes us feel completely idiotic for having bought at full price. Let's name them.

I guess I'll start this thread off with a true stinker:

Not only did I buy Duke Nukem Forever on day 1, but I got the Balls of Steel edition for $100, with the Duke Nukem bust and the artbook and everything.

I don't fucking know man. I guess I was still holding out hope that DNF would somehow be an awesome game, because how hilarious would that be?! Surely, I thought, this would be a legendary release even decades from now, no matter how good it was.

sigh.

I got Duke Nukem Forever, too. Fortunately it was the normal edition, not a more expensive special one.

I knew it was going to be bad, but I just had to play it for myself, and wanted to as soon as I could.

Dragon Age 2
SimCity 2013

and this SNES game I was so super excited for. Nintendo Power made it sound like it was going to be amazing and it was just awful. Robotrek. I still have the box for it an everything because I held it like is was the next Earthbound or something. Such a let down. Wikipedia says I am one of 20k people who own the game.

PS3 version of Skyrim, what a turd. glad i sold it quick before realized it was so broken, got most of my money for it then got it for the PC (what i should have done in the first place)

I hate this game with all my energy.

I bought for PS3 only to do online playing, but PSN sucks since ever and I only played like an hour of the history. Then, after all DLCs bullshit, my friends said that will play on PC because Steam works great. I bought once again, but with all DLC, and in the same fucking day my video card broke. I gave up playing this game. It's satanic.

Greatest regret.
I love this game. Still has a lot of things that were stylistically better than Max Payne. And unlike most licensed movie games, it was developed over a longer period and written to be separate so it wouldn't have to be locked tight to a film schedule.

I hated myself so much for buying that piece of crap at launch I ragebought Jet Set Radio HD as well the same day to play that instead.

This is me exactly...except I've stuck to my guns. Witcher may get my money, but not until launch. Destiny and DLC fleeced me good.

Respect. I don't know why I buckled. I guess it was cause it was on sale on GOG combined with the discount from owning previous witcher games pulled me in. Either way, there are games I'm just as excited about that I didn't pre-order, including Bloodborne so I'm getting better.
