I'm familiar with Gackt, it doesn't instantly make me like the design of Nikki. He was a pop star. Are you not familiar with Gackt? That character design is solid for what it was supposed to be.

This opinion is completely wrong. So, so wrong.Entire cast of FFXV (seriously, from No tips to Cyd, just shit).
Careful not to step on that edge.Japanese female character design: the thread.

The entire point of the character is literally to be as annoying as possible. That's what the heck.Time to post some American ones.
I mean what the heck Bethesda?
You can look decent and still be as annoying as possible. See: Rosh Penin. The entire point of the character is literally to be as annoying as possible. That's what the heck.
already mentioned, but yeah...
Eiko from FF9
This is the most fucked up ive seen. Cant believe someone signed off on that.
Great design ruined by a terrible costume... so yeah, bad design I guess. All of her other costumes make her 1000000000x better.Velvet Crowe from Tales of Berseria
That design is dope as hell
Cody as "Death" in Final Fight Streetwise:
Nah, they took it too far. I mean, compare these:
With this:
Because the designer knew their mythology and art history.
Diana/Artemis of Ephesus (1st century AD):
Villa d'Este Diana Fountain (16th century):
Peter Paul Rubens (early 17th century):
Diana wasn't just the goddess of the hunt but also of nature and fertility.
He always reminded me Jersey Shore trashGood
Anyway mine is Monkey from Enslaved. This is not a character design you try to build a franchise on.

The only reason why I remember that game.

FFTA2 dude
It's just random stuff glued together
F.A.N.G, from Street Fighter V. Just look at him.
Tracer, from Overwatch. A character so utterly by the numbers that the only things memorable about her are the controversy over her ass, and the catchphrase that you couldn't avoid if you saw their marketing at all.

Jesus what the fuck is that hair.
Japan, you do know your hair can not physically contort like that right?
Runner up probably Vaan from FF12, AKA discount Aladdin.
Japanese female character design: the thread. If most Japanese devs would try designing their females as actual people instead of fuck toys to be stared at by pervs their designs would be more likeable and relatable. Ironically I think Terra from FFVI is probably my most beloved female character design of all time, tasteful and beautiful with an underlying sense of tragedy and sadness chased with divine power to her, but it just seems like Japanese female character design has regressed heavily since the 90's.
Doesn't gat any worse than this trio of space slags.
No one disses Shulk or MeliaSince FFX was already picked (the entire cast is aweful), il go with the other worst looking cast

Nier
The main character was quite ugly
Oh yeah SF4 and SF5 are disgusting. How about this handsome guy? I don't like most
Of the characters or even the aggressive art style of SF V. A far cry from the timeless look of the pixel art games.
Why are they blindfolded
Ok, now defend this:He was a pop star. Are you not familiar with Gackt? That character design is solid for what it was supposed to be.
Velvet Crowe from Tales of Berseria
They're Niersighted.
Every single character designed for the Warcraft series, I hate every single visual Blizzard created from Warcraft 1 to WoW.
The entire cast of Injustice; probably the ugliest possible incarnations of iconic and beloved characters.
