Nice unique setup! Looks like you're definitely not superstitious ;P
I'm guessing from the monitor shade that you do image editing work, what kind of monitor are you using?

Haha, not even noticed what i have been doing with that umbrella indoors. I'll call it sunshade for safety reasons from now on...

It's a diy monitor hood for my LG M2762, by no means a professional monitor for editing purposes. But the color reproduction is alright and serves my purposes for now. The overhead sunshade and the monitor hood are for gaming reasons primarily, although i do quite a lot of image and video editing as well.

Here's my loft setup I'm still working on, but I got all the pita stuff over with. Please ignore the awful couch, it's on its way out in favor of theater seats. Still a WIP and this is my first attempt at a setup, so please be gentle!

Layd Dly's setup here was my inspiration.

I am honored. Looks great as well. Nothing better than gaming on a projector. When I play on my 61" TV it feels small. First World Problems lol.

Its a long story that I don't want to get in trouble for.

I read Chittagong's feature in Apartment therapy, and really liked the principle of letting color come from art/media/plants.

I try to keep the furniture within the color scheme of woods, whites, blacks, and metals.

It's working really well for you, I was going to say the overall colour scheme is really soothing.

Would be interested in seeing that. You have a link?

Wow some of these setups are amazing. I recently installed a bar in my crib. Was quite a bit of work but I really love it:

Swapped out the ps3/360 for drunken 4 player Wii U action. Directly across from this I have a couch and projector plus 120 inch screen which I use for the 360/ps3. Need to get a better picture of that area.

Godamn. Only things missing is more scotch ;)

What desk is this?

Looks like Ikea Galant series.

Yup, it's the Ikea Galant series. Here are the links to the pieces I used. I believe Ikea's website adds the frames into the prices of some of those pieces, but since I picked everything up at one of their stores, I don't think it cost as much as it's listed on line.

Here's the link for it - http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/S19807470/#/S69861186

Here's are the pieces separately if you purchased in store.

Main Desk - http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/S09856324/
Left Extension - http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/S69837479/#/S69852120
T-Legs - http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/20056915/

The TV in the corner is sitting on Galant Half Round (w/o Frame) with Capita Legs - http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/S89895963/#/S09852118

Also not shown in the picture, I have these cable management trays under each side.

Most of these places look sterile and unlived in. Whats the point of having nice things if you can't enjoy them?

Scandinavia baby! We don't like clutter. Minimalist is 'in' here and has been for a few years now. We enjoy our things but we tidy up so that it looks awesome all the time.

Most of these places look messy and disgusting. What's the point of having nice things if you treat them like shit?
Totally agreed! Nice stuff is more enjoyable in a clean place, can't find your good stuff in a mess right?

I never leave stuff laying around. I love to have our place nice and tidy, I can't imagine living in total chaos.

Here's my living room, to the left is my fiance's painting desk and then my desk is alongside it and against the wall where my PC is at. Works great as I use my TV as a 3rd monitor and go fullscreen with 360 wireless controller for games like Sleeping Dogs and Saints Row 3.

It's a little "busy" as it's a condo while we're saving for a house but it's definitely comfortable.

I have an 'open' rack so it's funny when I hear people saying "I'll just keep my PS3 and 360 if the new ones have no B/C!" ... inside that makes me cringe because I'm just past the point of wanting all my shit showing on a shelf. I used to do that for sure, but with a girl and a 7 year old that time has passed.
