I'm really liking this mini event. I've got some space cleared for my NARA space center and it's not too demanding at all. I decide to buy the shuttle because it looks cool and every Springfield should worship the glory of the rod.

How on earth is the writing in this so much better than the actual series?

Its definitely nice having a pretty hands off event. Not having to tap hundreds of things is nice.

It's largely the same writers as those that work on the show.
They're just free from the shackles of Al Jean, arbitrary commercial breaks, celebrity guest appearances and needing the VAs to capably deliver their lines.

With this year's Valentine's episode (actually airing on the day for once) revolving around Frink finding romance, I like the idea of this year's Valentine's event having a "Nerds in Love" concept which could allow them to bring back Kumiko (CBG's wife) for the first time in addition to introducing characters like Colin (Lisa's love interest from the Simpsons Movie), Samantha (Milhouse's original love interest from Season 2), Taffy (Milhouse's love interest from Season 22's Homer Scissorhands where Lisa first admitted having feelings for Milhouse), Calliope Juniper (the art teacher that Skinner eloped with for 3 months in Season 22's Flaming Moe; she also has a nerdy daughter named Melody who had a crush on Bart) or Martin's robot pal C.H.U.M. (which has appeared in no less than 5 episodes).

Any ideas on worthwhile characters I may have missed that you'd like to see?

It also removes the daily log in so no more mystery boxes besides the one for the questline. Nice to see EA finally getting more open with doughnuts between maggie and now these "challenges" Well it gave me a 3rd Lard Lad for the free box...guess it fits the theme.

Did something weird happen last night? My jobs should all have finished at about 2am but when I open the app this morning they still have five hours left.

Anyone else fall prey to this weird crashing glitch?

It looks like it's fairly widespread but not affecting everyone.

It started for me when I tried clicking on the top right icon for that new donut stand thing they put out a couple days ago. It crashed after tapping it and then when I reopened the game it takes me to the main screen and has me tap to continue. When I do, it crashes.

Happens across every device I try. It seems to be tied to my account because I can start a new game or play anonymously, but whenever I login to my Origins account and try to play it crashes. People are reporting the same thing on the Tapped Out forums. EA has apparently acknowledged it and is supposed to report back soon according to the Tapped Out forums.

I've just tried Where's Maggie for the first time. I found her on top of a house in my blue house farm but I just could not click her. Is it a bug or am I supposed to do something else?

In-game update is out: Valentine's Day event. Finish everything before February 16 for bonuses. Collect Valentine's Hearts from numerous tasks. Complete certain tasks to get new rewards, last reward is a new character.

Also have a new Gil deal: Der Krazy Kraut for 150 donuts.

I'm not a fan of the previous Valentines events (My first experience of Tapped Out was just as a long Valentines event was starting. I don't want a choo-choo choose you train and I don't want lots of hearts and stuff cluttering up my Springfield. This one though is fine. Short, undemanding and with nice rewards.

Is the only way to earn crafting mats at present to play Moe's slot machine? Because jesus wept that's going to take forever to level up the crafting.

Are tokens only spent at the slot machine?

i.e. should I spend all my tokens playing slots or should I save some of them for something else?

I found the dice game gave me more chips than usual, though both of them are random.
What about the crafting collectibles? Do those randomly pop up in the dice game as well?
Because that's principally what I'm short on. Chip accumulation is not an issue.

New Casino stuff is out.

I ended up paying 70 donuts to get the Britannia. :(

I always fall super behind on those bonus things, I generally am able to get the first 2-3.

Once I got the last unlockable in act 1, I just kept saving the tokens. I had about 80 saved up and got the first reward and a lot of the 2nd right away.

I got the final reward for phase 2 with 3 days to go so I've been saving up the tokens since then. It looks like Homer's Card Game is going to be the one to play. Good rewards (Far easier to win than the dice game) but plays quicker than Moe's slots.

I'm one upgrade away from level 3 crafting. Once that's done I'll be going back and getting the stuff I missed from crafting level 2. I think the crafting levels are the thing I've disliked the most from the event. It's too much of a slog. I suspect the data EA will have gotten will show most people won't manage to finish the crafting side.

I just got Woodstock last night, doubtful I'll get the last reward.

I'm not really a fan of the crafting system this go around. I'm torn between saving up for the Spruce Moose and upgrading... but if I only want the Spruce Moose, no point in upgrading I guess.

I got the last reward a few days ago. Helped that I saved up tokens after I got the last act 1 prize. Now I've got a ton of tokens ready for act 3. :)

Seems really easy to craft most things so far. The tiers are kind of a pain in the ass but it seems to be pretty free with the crafting materials. I've been saving a bunch of those up for act 3 as well.
