I'm 10k chips away from Gabbo and I've done all the crafting. I'm just making fountains and stars now with what I have.
It looks like it was balanced to be too hard during the first act and then went too far the other way during act 2 making act 3 a pushover. I don't normally finish events this quickly.
Good fun event though with a set of nice buildings.

Me too. I had enough crafting supplies to make my own vegas strip type thing with tons of fountains and lights

I thought that 'spring cleaning' thing was the event... guess it was just a quick few quests.
EDIT: Oh baby, those QOL improvements to completing quests is great.
That was an enjoyable and undemanding phase 1. I love the QOL improvements too. Being able to cycle around the map with a single tap finishing quests makes that side of things a joy now.
I dunno about anyone else but I'm more inclined to buy doughnuts when the events aren't outright abusive (See Marvel Avengers Academy for more details). So EA have been winning me lately.

Level 60 is here! And this is apparently the last level we're getting. I guess everything new from here will be in events.
Could be a fakeout in the quest to be revealed later maybe?

Nobody play the game until the next patch- it's glitched to buggery and back, and people are being permanently locked out of their towns.
That's a nasty bug. It seems the new system for levelling is you can go all the way up to level 939 and get 1 doughnut for each level (Events and mini events seem to be the new way of delivering content). The problem is the xp needed to level after you get your first level after hitting 60 is set to 40k xp. Some people got lucky and power levelled their way to loads of free doughnuts. Some got caught by the bug and now can't log in.

New in-game update dropped a while ago: Chili Cook-Off mini event!
Like the fire department event this one is done in phases with characters earning Insanity Peppers. Homer starts, some of his pals help out.
Missed the steel mill or Devil Flanders, they're in the shop along with the Coyote from the same episode. I'm tempted, especially with all the level-up donuts I'm getting.

Hoping we finally get some Stretch Dude and Clobber Girl skins from this.
Would also like to see Kumiko finally get re-released along with a skin so she can be a sidekick / supervillain counterpart for The Collector.

New update is out: Superheroes II!
Font and music from last year's event are back. Also has shades of the Tap Ball event. Ends in six weeks.

One problem I`m having.
I`m far enough through the story that it`s unlocked all my previous super heroes for use in battles. They`re either three or two star. However all the fights are now four and five star meaning that if you don`t have the IAP healing items you can`t win.
Also we`re getting Stretch Dude and Clobber girl later.

After bouncing quite hard off the Wild West event (The Simpsons really doesn't have enough Wild West to make that seem worthwhile, and I hated the fiddliness of the systems), I'm really enjoying the Superheroes event. The fighting mechanic has at least a little depth to it, and it's crammed full of content.
