But going back on topic, I really wish there'd be more updates on the changes to the veteran fighters. I mean, my personal main is Pikachu, with falling back on Falco. I used to use Roy and Samus for a while, but Pikachu's my definite mainstay (w/ the Pokemon Trainer hat "costume").
I remember some of the biggest differences between the original and Melee being the fact that his aerials no longer felt like they created a recoiling effect, how much his grab range was shortened, and most notably, just the gamecube's faulty Z.
Funny how no one talks about that Z on the gamecube much.
I'm just curious/worried about the changes that have been made in this version, and I hope for the best.

Any sort of ridley announcement would be a disappointment if he isnt a playable character. Metroid is a big Nintendo game, so they really should include two playable characters from the metroid games. You could argue that we have zero samus, but she's doesnt have enough to stand out as a full character.GamerSoul said:

Ah, Haunted One, that's an awesome icon.
Anyway, jeez sonic looks powerful. It looks as if he was almost totally designed for one on one tournament play. His ability to go back and forth so often in mid air against an enemy is going to be maddening.

I'm usually not a fan of the fast characters, but sonic does look pretty good. He's got good recovery and some of his moves are pretty good. That spin attack looks a lot like jigglypuffs spinning attack in melee. Hopefully it'll be just as strong too!crowphoenix said:

Browsing through the artist's stuff... he's really quite talented. That's some really great pixel art he got going there. I'm still waiting for a proper version of the updated wallpaper, though. :/
and to return to the topic at hand... with Sonic's Final Smash hinted at in the announcement trailer, its site update shouldn't be far off. I expect something different as a breather, though. Item, probably.
