You know what, you're the one taking things too seriously. You made a prediction, it was apparently wrong (barring a surprise tonight) and we called you on it. That's the way forums generally work. You're the one getting all worked up, calling anyone who questions your awesome insider knowledge a dick. As if it were any surprise that people on GAF act like dicks sometimes.

Just calm down and accept the fact that if you make erroneous predictions, you're going to catch flack for it. And if you really do have an inside scoop on Sakurai, then I'm sure you have more important things to do than defend yourself from a bunch of forum posters.

Which of these models would you guys prefer be used in Brawl, number 1 or 2?


I for one would love the first one to be included, but it wouldn't mesh unless there are multiple skins for each character. Of course the second model isn't half bad itself, either way this character is most definitely one of my most wanted.

Well according to the Aonuma interview, the latter is what's going to be used. It would also fit in with Zelda and Link (and Shiek too if it comes to that, I can't wait to see the TP-style Shiek).

Aonuma: I’ve been working with Sakurai for a very long time with this new Smash Bros., because the Wii came out and when discussion for a new Smash Bros. took place nobody could think of anyone other than Sakurai working on it. He was kind of the default, and I was very happy to hear that he would be working on it. Actually, my designers did work on the designs for Sheik and Link and Ganondorf. So they submitted the initial designs, and so it would fit in the Smash Bros. Brawl environment, they’ve had to tweak some of the designs. But Sakurai has brought those altered designs to NCL. We’re working very closely with the team of Smash Bros. Brawl to make sure the characters look their best.

I like that Sakurai is not just ripping all the designs straight from the games. With some characters, you have no choice (like Kirby and Mario), but with others you can afford to change things up a little. Pit's redesign is great. Can't wait to see the next re-imagined character.

It would, but it probably isn't happening. If they couldn't update Zelda's moveset to something more TP-appropriate, then I have little hope for Link.
