I think Sakurai will eventually represent the new Nintendo, which has the innovation and design strength of Miyamoto's Nintendo, combined with newer features that appeal to the core gamer.

"Seriously though, on one hand it's super exciting to see stuff like this appearing on a Nintendo platform, but on the other hand it's almost painful knowing that this is probably one of the only games we're ever going to see on Wii that's actually up-to-date, feature-wise, with stuff on competing systems. Can you imagine if they put this much effort into every franchise game they released?"

For real. If I were the Big N, I'd just throw money at Sakurai till he begged me not to.Krowley said:They seriously need to lock this guy up as a permanent nintendo employee, like Miyamoto or Anouma... Just give him a position where he can do whatever he wants and wait for greatness.
I'm not sure were I heard it (somewhere in this thread I think) but from what I understand, this is just a temporary thing and he's planning to split and do his own thing after smash. Nintendo should not allow that to happen. Just give him whatever he wants.

I am BETTING marx will be in as an assist trophy, lol yeah, the first time I fought him, I didn't know I could press a button to bring back any ability I gotten, so I had to fight him without abilities too.Scum said:All I want now is any and/or all of these 5 :-

Also, crono looks too much like pit, so I doubt it

Horizontal movement for the two platforms at the bottom, vertical movement for the ones on both sides. Spikes at the bottom of the central platform/block. What do you guys think ?

Well what if you could dodge while on the ladder much like an air dodge?Gekkonidae said:In a game with this much aerial mobility. I don't know why anyone would ever want to use a ladder. It seems like it would leave you really vulnerable.

TheKingsCrown said:It would be poor design choice to include a character editor in the game, and it will be poor design choice to include TOO MANY options in the game. From what I have seen, I think Sakurai is walking the fine line. Let's hope he doesn't fall off it.

One thing I've wished for that isn't around is an Event Creator. You could set up small scenarios to fight through like SSBM's Events. Perhaps make a person fight against a Big Big Metal Kirby in the Pictochat stage with a limit of 3 lives. Perhaps an event that's a gauntlet against the successive characters from the Mario franchise, with the player as a Small Bowser. The now more customizable battle options cover part of what I'd hoped for, but don't go as far or allow different settings per character.Keru_Shiri said:Outside of more 3rd party characters, is there anything left that could be a megaton? Well, perhaps I should've specified new things that could be added. Though you are right, those would indeed be megaton announcements, most of those are either an expansion on an existing feature, or the return of something from a previous game.Iam Canadian said:Hmmm...
Subspace Emissary level editor?
Event Match with online co-op?
The return of Board the Platforms (with online co-op)?
Ness (the ultimate megaton as far as I'm concerned)?
All classic Smash levels are available in Brawl?
Playable DS (to go with the DS franchise logo)?
Perhaps those would count.

Fighter maker, not neccessarily, but the game definently needs Mii support.Ferrio said:Fighter Maker options? Give your Mii your custom created moves?

I would love to edit some of the characters already in Brawl. However make it so you can only edit their clothes/pallet and not their moves/weight/speed.a character editor, where you can stick the stickers on the characters already in the game or give them new pallets. That would be awesome.
I'll just use the Pac-Man stage made for Brawl by the development team.Staccat0 said:You guys are all gonna want a copy of my sweet Pac Man level when I get to make it. Better start suckin' up now....:lol
