I see it this way: Sakurai has overdelivered in every way in terms of the huge amount of content in Brawl. Also, Sakurai has said there will be 2 or 3 third-party playable characters. I don't think there's any way that Sakurai would risk being perceived as coming in on the lower end of expectations.

Therefore, If Sakurai continues his overachieving ways, we will see at least 3 third-party New Challengers.

I've always thought that the quote regarding the number of 3rd party characters was really vague. It seemed like he was just kind of musing in order to give an answer to the question at the time, not really putting a limit on the number of them, and I also thought that it was 2-3 MORE than just Snake. Not trying to raise anyones hopes, just saying that I don't put much value in that specific quote.

To put it bluntly, it just got to be an annoying aspect all around when it came to discussing said character, so thus, sp0rsk put the "ban" in effect.

To this day, he swears by his own source (he's in Japan, BTW), which stated that said character won't be a part of this party. Take that as you will.

To me though, as with all things, I'm just going to wait for either the day I get my import copy in hand, or some one else credible leaks the roster through legit means (they get the game, the strategy guide, or can otherwise provide proof to their claim). Til then, I'm not really swayed...only ChaosZero seems to have been the one leaker who's prediction actually came to pass. For everyone else, the burden of proof still is on them...

100 was Wi-Fi play. Plus, the recent updates have been pretty damn good and only likely to get better as we near release to build hype.
