I expected this. Makes sense from their point of view.
I'm not up in arms. I'm just paying for the shell, and the 2 controllers at this point
I already apologized, If you bothered checking before posting thisBecause someone asked how Nintendo managed to run NES and SNES games on the same hardware, and they just pointed out that the Pi can do that and more. As you would know if you bothered to read the post they were replying to instead of rushing out this pointless hot take.
Makes it easily hackable to add new games, excellent. What are 10 must have games that are missing from the SNES Classic lineup?
Go.

They'll have to make a very hacky emulator if ever, probably with custom tweaks per game.
Calm down soldier... Is a legit question... LololUse your brain... Good advice... Could use it yourself

Ok whatever. I apologized to the guy, and I know the pi talk is coming. Simple as. Prove me wrong. You "apologized" (to the extent that "well someone will do the thing I accused you of anyway" is any kind of apology) while I was replying to you; not exactly the same as not bothering to read what you're replying to. But hey, whatever makes you feel beyond reproach.

The power issue doesn't seem like a concern. What I'm more curious about is how they would run both NES and SNES games on the same type of hardware. I remember reading and interview from Eurogamer (I think?) where they spoke with a guy who made one of the most popular SNES emulators, and said that's it's very hard to do so, even with powerful PCs.
It's because that said emulator is designed to perfect emulate all snes components, everything that would run on a SNES will run on bsnes exactly as it should. The Nintendo emulator just need to run certain games "perfectly enough". There is a huge difference.
International Superstar Soccer Deluxe
Jimmy Connor's Pro Tour Tennis
Actraiser
So you're saying even Nintendo can't run perfect emulations of SNES games on their hardware?
Does the NES Classic play the included SNES classic games out of the box?Eh, I'm not sure this is as alright as some are saying... They're essentially selling the same hardware for a higher price with a new shell. Imagine Sony started selling a slim PS4 that has exactly the same hardware inside, but is the only PS4 able to run new games.
That's it. The only thing preventing the NES Mini from running SNES software (and vice-versa) is Nintendo itself, because the hardware is more than capable. It's the kind of thing I'd expect people to consider anti-consumer.

And, you know, the games.
People pay videogames?!? Thats crazy!Same thing, just a bunch of new roms on it, people buy it like stupid.
Sometimes I don't understand humans.

Redoing it for NTSC SNES.Makes it easily hackable to add new games, excellent. What are 10 must have games that are missing from the SNES Classic lineup?

It's funny how it's $20 more expensive anyway. At least it comes with an extra controller.
Not to sell really well it doesn't. Especially with a virtual console equivalent on the horizon. This thing needs like 60 games.

And the NES controllers as well as a veil so I can't tell it's a mini SNES...They should have included the nes emulator and all the games then.
In fact in terms of tools needed it is a lot easier (a PC with some software, no need for specalised dumping hardware). The hardest part is getting the SNES mini. Why would you need the original cart? If you own a SNES Mini, you can certainly rip the Star Fox 2 ROM off there.
Mario Rabbids uses the same graphics engine as The Division? wtf ubisoft... selling the same engine except with a different game... smhFifa 18 uses the same type of discs as Fifa 17 ? WTF...
Pretty much. They wont reinvent the wheel every year for there mini consoles.
