Well, he was nominated for a grammy this year. he had that movie/soundtrack with Wiz two years ago. He had his documentary/reggae album last year. 7 days of funk last year. He has his YouTube series which features tons of rappers/actors/personalities. Snoop is pretty far from irrelevant.

You're thinking of "coon" in regards to the original use of the word to describe black people by non black people in a negative fashion. Snoop is not a good rapper, I don't know what you've been listening to. He had one classic riding Dre's coat tails, and then released a bunch of terrible ass shit on No Limit. Since then he's been a pop singles mainstay. His features are pretty much all trash I don't know why Damon Albarn and Fly Lo gave him a shot to appeal to anyone other than clear channel dick riders.
