Umm, which country gives paychecks after 2 weeks ? I have never heard of that before.

Paid every 2 weeks is probably the most common method in the US.

I've been paid weekly at some jobs, 2 weeks at most.. know some who get paid monthly (mostly government workers like teachers.)

Hell huge chunk of employers in the US use the same few payroll companies. ADP has sent my checks for my last 4 jobs.

bout 1300+

I just applied for a online job, trying make more bank, and Im doing some social media managing for my cousin thats suppose to pay around 75 a week

First job? I'm sure there are people on something beyond a first job making one-fifth of what you are. What exactly are you doing as a first job to be in a net well beyond a significant portion of others?
Software development. It's actually close to the median wage for entry level programmers. But yeah, it is really good pay and my quality of life is about to skyrocket.

A lot of the unemployment threads are really awful to read - a lot of people recommending the OP use a time machine to get a STEM internship. I screwed up way worse than any of the OPs (besides Thacker), so these posts were very discouraging for me. But I eventually got job offers and I didn't accept the first one. I've been considering making a thread about my experience as a more motivational alternative to the typical job threads, but I'm worried people who have fallen on hardship will take it the wrong way.

I'm more interested in what people make hourly. Clearing huge amounts every month isn't that impressive if you're a salaried slave and working all the hours that god sends. I did that once and you can't really put a price on personal/family time.

Yeah that's true.
23,50€ per hour.
37 a week.

Oof some of these numbers making me jealous. I'm currently at like 600 after taxes from the one job and 200 from the other. I've been told I'm getting a raise next year though, so that should help

Why not adjust your withholding amount?

I could but I actually really love getting so much money back in March since I have two kids bdays that month and we usually do some sort of vacation or something big after our taxes come back. Last year we got a $4500.00 return, plus my bonus comes in march which is usually around $3000.00 after taxes. It's the most wonderful time of year for a married guy with three kids like myself lol

It's just that.. I mean..

Do what you will I guess.. lol.. but you could just put the money in a savings account also and not give out a free loan you can't recoup until the end of the year.

$733/every two week.

Seems I'm on the lower end here. But I live in Ohio and cost of living is low here so I manage since its just me. Looking into getting a part-time job now on the side.

About $2750 after taxes. The taxes are pretty brutal, as I have to pay a 3.5% wage tax on top of state and federal tax. It's still a great income considering how cheap cost of living is here.

I get around $850 every two weeks. It kind of sucks, but I am in the US on a student visa, so research work is the only legal thing I can do for money. Hopefully in about three years I will get my PhD and starting cashing out on it.

Also, my university considers tuition as part of my payment, so they are docking an additional 45k a year of their books for nothing, sneaky bastards.

About 2k every 2 weeks at one job, and around 1k at my own business. My business can vary pretty wildly though depending on how much work I get around to.

just landed my first real job after finishing school last october making $2250 every two weeks. thats after working close to 10 years making $300-$400 every two weeks. dont mind if i stroke my ego just a little, i finally caught a break in life and my hard work has paid off.
