Live from PlayStation is one of my favorite things to do when I have friends over on a Friday or Saturday night - the shit you see on there is so totally bizarre you almost can't believe it unless you see it with your own eyes. Once I saw two twelve year olds in Ninja Turtle masks playing with what I hope was a toy pistol pretending to shoot and hump a life size cardboard cutout of David Tennant from Doctor Who.
It's amazing what happens when you give the average person, with almost no idea of how streaming or computers work, the ability to stream yourself to thousands of people.

Alright, decided to do this myself for once instead of just reading stories. got an Xrd stream via Niconico, someone drawing anime illustrations on Ustream, and some Russian stream with a woman just lying on her bed staring into nothingness on Ustream too.

Okay not sure if it is the same one, but there is a Russian couple on now. The girl is lying on the bed eating an ice cream. Some guy just wrote, "I wish I was an ice cream cone". The Russian guy said, "fuck you America!" lol

Why do people use reddit? Every time I click on a link for there, I am just so confused how this layout is appealing to anyone, and I find it confusing whenever I actually click on a thread.

Umm if you're after that kind of show you'll find it, not just on PS4, but any device with a connection to the internet that can live stream videos.
The Playroom is exploited by some. It's known. Accounts that are caught with nudity etc are banned as far as I remember. Just a minority of what makes Live from PS - which is, video game live streams in general.
Great feature for next-gen consoles. Sometimes I watch games I am undecided on.

This guy was dancing to tons of Michael Jackson songs. He was amazing, also wore a hat and glove sometimes.
This was just some random guy sleeping but the ARbot ran across his leg and started standing on him watching him sleep, it was really cool and a little creepy lol.
This guy was giving tattoos to people.

One another guy had plants and then another one was hands on with his gf lol.
The Playroom is a very interesting place, but it also reminded me of JTV before Twitch existed.

I was kind of obsessed with it the first few weeks I got my PS4. One of the early ones I saw was "At x number of viewers she'll show boobs" and sure enough she did. Saw a stream of a guy cleaning his pool, people grilling outside. It's kind of wonderful. This is one of my favorites, a stream from Joel Schumacher's house.

there are various ways to sort, but I believe the main one is it shows the games in descending order from the game with the most broadcasters down to the least amount of broadcasters.
If you just go to plain live from playstation, yeah you will find mostly stuff not related to games at all. Especially friday night / weekend nights. People like to stream their parties or get togethers. Girls will just sit there on a bed doing random junk like reading a book and have 500+ watchers.
The best ones are the musicians for me. Good ones anyway. One japanese guy was playing all kinds of metal and had banners and shit ( using the Playroom app ) requesting the next song with his website and donation site and such up on the stream. Was awesome.

There is no age gate on Ustream because it would be difficult to make people adhere to a self imposed rating or for Ustream to police it. However you absolutely can prevent somebody from being exposed to this stuff on LfP. There is a very robust parental control system on the PS4. You can prevent an account from user generated media including broadcasts

Do the above if you are worried. It's like the old Uno debacle on the 360. It isn't very widespread and users who do it are often banned but you can block it if you want.
