Yes, a tangent just to make other movies look bad. You do this everytime someone brings up how shitty QoS is. You are just trying to deflect the QoS hate onto something else.
And it's even more evident when I just proved to you that Brosnan barely gained any weight between Goldeneye and DAD, and you have yet to even respond to it.

Quantum of Solace is a great epilogue to Casino. Should be watched as soon after as possible. Compares favorably to most other Bonds, but it is disappointing after Casino.
Editing was mostly shitty, and it is pretty short. Production problems from being made during writer's strike.

The Mana Legend takes his Brosnan seriously. He did get a bit old, but nowhere close to as bad as Roger Moore. And I can't complain, Daniel Craig can play old Bond for many years to come if he wants to as far as I'm concerned.

I'm with you OP. I really like QoS. I think it gets a lot more flak than it deserves. Definitely better than all the Brosnan era films sans Goldeneye, and better than quite a few of the Moore and Connery movies. And way better than a lot of other action movies.
I doubt very much that they can actually do films every second year, despite what they've said. They could do it in the 60s/70s/80s, but its such a different landscape now in film. These things are EXPENSIVE as fuck to produce. I fully expect 2015 for Bond 24.

The James Bond that was ahead of his time, and still the best James Bond ever (pending Skyfall).
This is the Bond that I judge all other Bonds on. Including Craig. The whole "resignation" thing from MI6 worked a lot better in Licence to Kill than it did in Quantum of Solace, which to me was the most disappointing thing about QoS.

Bond casting is interesting.
Wanted Moore first, but couldn't get him and went with Connery. Wanted Dalton next, but he didn't think he was old enough, we get Lazenby, then fat Connery. Then Moore, who despite being older than Connery found the fountain of youth can finally do it. Then Moore obviously drank the fountain dry. And then they wanted Brosnan to do it, but he couldn't so Dalton steps in. Then Brosnan can finally do it, then fat (lol) Brosnan led to Craig.
Pretty cool how the role tends to come to who they want, just not when they want.

Lol as a man who sucks in his gut, this is the picture of a man who is sucking his gut. Gotta slightly side with Solo on this one. Not exactly fat, but definitely not a lean fit machine.

It was one of the worst film releases of its year.
It's still better than nearly the entire Bond catalogue.
Putting QoS in the top ten isn't exactly a stretch. It's like putting Halloween remake in the top 5 Halloween films. It just kind of happens by default; doesn't mean you endorse it.
Is it the 50 people are getting hung up on? Okay, 30 pounds, and some serious aging.

The worst thing about that gif is that Bond was suppose to be all malnourished after being tortured and left to rot in a Korean prison for FOURTEEN MONTHS. This was suppose to be about Bond failing a mission and having to build himself back up, a flawed 007 who's lost a step, who's gone rogue from MI6, and has to dig deep to get back into form(funny enough, we might see a good version of this in Skyfall next month, lol). And instead it turned into a Roger Moore campfest

Yeah, Brosnan's body was way too skinny. But hey, it really worked for Dalton, who was nimble as fuck. Didn't work as well for Brosnan, though.
Craig > Connery > Lazenby > Brosnan > Moore on the fitness scale.
Didn't rank Dalton because the way he was dressed never really let you know one way or the other. For the most part, he was lean like GoldenEye era Brosnan.

He was more fit than anyone besides Craig. You see him shirtless a few times, and though he is lean like Brosnan, he is nimble as all fuck (which makes way more sense as Bond than Craig's body). Probably the most nimble out of all of the Bonds, and the only one I could buy in terms of stealthiness.
