So Im going on a date (or something) with a prostitute

Lol you never went on the date you stated in the OP and finally 4 months later are going? Sounds like something fishy is going on. Prostitutes have tons of free time and she could have seen you before now if she wanted. Just know that women that work in the strip club/prosititution profession are often very shady and aren't trustworthy.

Dude, can you do me a favor? When you go out, can you just pretend that you're not desperate? I know it's really hard to feel confident when you're not, but no relationship can survive a gigantic power imbalance. You need to see each other as equals, and you are. You both have really tough social lives. She has a tough time finding guys because of her job. You have a tough time finding women because of your confidence. So just go in knowing that no one is perfect, and pretend that you're just there to have fun and that you don't care what happens.
 
If you have sex after the date, how will you know if it was genuine or if she expects you to pay? Can you imagine the awkwardness if you go to leave and she clears her throat and sticks her hand out. Also I don't get the locking it down line. Are you a couple?

So theoretically if she wants popcorn, should OP buy some for her or should she have to pay for herself? On one hand, if they are going as friends he shouldn't have to, but if he's on a date then does he have to still even though it could be construed as the girl taking advantage of him?

Not her as a person or profession, just reading the post and then when I clicked the link to read the description of said movie just made me chuckle a bit, damn fellas chill.
 
I watched the full series of The Trip to Italy recently - it's hilarious, and there's a bit of romance in there as well so good choice for a date movie OP, best of luck. As everyone else has said, try to keep cool and enjoy yourself - don't bust your balls trying to please her, just keep it natural and it will go great.

Lmao it was the movie description though, it just read like some "my dinner with Andre" I thought it was something like that. I did think it was funny taking a pro to see that though, I have seen the error of my ways.

The Trip to Italy was a really nice TV show, I hope they've made a good effort cutting it down for the cinema. So good luck with the 'date'(?).
 
When I talk to guys who got married out of high school I wonder if they ever understood how it felt to be completely robbed of love and friendship from sex. Of course it's cheap, frowned upon, illegal, and probably tasteless. But I also think it wakes you up to the idea that sex is cheap and it isn't something to always take emotionally.

I don't think men are dogs because the feelings are basically mutual, but illegal in most states.

I don't understand how guys get huge attitudes. They have wonderful relationships and they get mad and normal typical things. I wonder if it would of changed a person had they ever treated sex like it wasn't a big deal.
