First step, determine location of poster.

Second step, search through poster's history and see if he's ever said his name.

Third step, Google.

Things get clever from then on.

There's easier ways to Google folks.

IIRC, you can get banned for internet-detectiving a fellow gaffer (that's the mods job). Our only option is to internet-detective the stalker.

I'm calling bullshit. Make a very long post detailing the story from start to finish so at least we can be entertained.

Oh and pictures of your girlfriend too.

Googles letting me down so much here actually resorting to bing ffs. need more details to plus in the search engine.

According to the OP's post history, it looks like he lives in North Jersey. It will be hard to narrow down the amount of people living in the Greater New York area that are worth $250 mil. I imagine it is quite a bit.

New Jersey? Definitely Italian Mafia.

MysticStylez was the master of this. Anyone remember that guy?

"My wife might be cheating on me"
*tons of evidence obviously pointing to cheating*
"Ok so I talked to my wife and she said that she wasn't cheating on me...crisis averted, guys!"
*GAF exploding at the guy for being an idiot*
*Guy never returns...*
I DO remember that thread! Pretty sure it set my record for FPPPs (Facepalms per post).

You did the right thing turning to GAF first...

Holy fuck. Call the cops, the national park service, coastguard. Call everyone.

Idea: Can you stay in a hotel or somewhere which has their own security for a short period of time? Might be helpful.

There definitely are a lot of people with entirely too much money around here.

*Reads original post*

*Looks at OP's name*

*Chuckle to myself*

Seems like a bad combo, given the story.

Well, maybe he likes filming POV porn, it could be from that.

Still 2.1 million seems kind of excessive no matter what the guy is worth. I'm sure she deserved something, but wouldn't you agree that it was kind of excessive?

Hey guys,

so my girlfriend got a settlement for 2.1 mil from a stalker ex. After signing the deal for the settlement the ex is now refusIng to pay. He had 30 days, he is now in jail. As he was being arrested he swore that he would kill and or hurt my girl and her lawyer. Well a few days later her lawyer was beaten and hospitalized badly. Her friend was drugged and ditched 3 towns over. And I'm getting vague text threats and admitions from an number that shows up only as my girlfriend. They know exactly where we are at all times and have sent me transcripts of private conversations from both phone calls and even doctor offices!!

We have filed more charges agains the crazy ass of course but this crap isn't stopping. My suspicion is that thy are using some type of laser mic and gps tracker. But for the life of me I can't find anything. I was hoping that GAF mght be able to help. An ideas on how to locate these "bugs".

Okay, can you tell us what the settlement was for? Millions of dollars seems excessive.

Also, how would this guy have transcripts of your/her conversations with a doctor? Isn't there some confidentiality rule that applies?

As others have suggested, I would have your girlfriend go to the cops to present her case.

This is the strangest story on gaf I ever encountered, it reads more like a Liam movie. I would lock myself in police station, or bodyguards or go to the news, anything to avoid the fate that seems to be coming.

Honestly, why can't ypu just confront this guy and kick ass as required.

Don't be they prey dude, be the predator. It sucks to have some asshole making you constantly look over your shoulder, doesn't it?

Dont go to the cops, because they are in conspiracy/buddy's with whoever is surveilling your GF and yourself (you dont know that yet). They will strike before dawn!!!!

Trust
no one
me!

Edit: Dont listen to the people that says you should go to the cops. Dont be a fool like them. Like GAF :D

EDIT:

Reading further ... sounds like BS. I have a hard time believing the cops wouldn't help you after you've been threatened and your lawyer was beaten.

It'll help your case -- I mean, at least it'd help justice, supposing you die in this mess -- if you post his name, your name, and specific details and stuff. Gets stuff all out there in the open, you know? Like when young Norm Madonald was all like "Hey look everyone, crossing guard grabbing an 8-year-old's ass!"

Do you think they will leave in the 'consult GAF' scene in the movie adaptation?
I don't know why, but this reminds me of how everyone gave Perez Hilton shit for twittering when he was in danger like it was going to do anything.

What if instead of giving you the money....he used it to pay people to hunt you!

"You ain't getting a penny of this money!"

So the police said her lawyer getting beat down after he was threatened by the guy not enough evidence?

Because there is no proof that the reason the lawyer got beat up has anything to do with the stalker. It may seem obvious but to the legal system there is no hard proof to correlate the issues. Unless the guy beating up the lawyer specifically gave a note or announced something that connects the cases, it can be seen as unrelated. There is obvious motive and possibly a connection for the police to look into, but they are also limited to how far they can go without much more concrete proof.
