I'm sure I'll be surprised by a few great "indie" surprises
New mods for PC games new and old, most notably the Elden Ring Co-op mod for example
Hell Let Loose.

Overall, I think it's gonna be a disappointing year for those that only want big-budget AAA "next-gen" games. I think we'll get some pleasant treats from bigger publishers, but honestly, there's so much shit to play, I have less time than games to play. Still wanting to do a co-op playthrough of Dying Light 2, Elden Ring I want to replay for a 3rd time, playing through Day's Gone now and Hell Let Loose when I get a good block of hours that I can dedicate to them, have a playthrough of Half-Life: Alyx that I'm about 8 hours in to.

Pretty much the big ones for me. Maybe Dead Space if they fixed all the problems with the original.

That are "confirmed" (at least before any official Delays):

God of War Ragnarok
Hogwarts Legacy
Xenoblade 3
Sea of Stars
A Plague Tale 2
Bayonetta 3 (they did supposedly re-confirm it for 2022)
Live a Live

Interested but need to see more:
Soul Hackers 2

nethack is my favorite dark souls clone
Hoping for some huge drops at "E3" next month. Capcom has been pretty quiet on the RE front. They've been releasing an RE game every year since 2019, and I WANT that RE4 remake. Or at least that Village DLC.

Sniper Elite 5
Stray
System Shock remake
Little Devil Inside
A Plague Tale: Requiem
Hogwarts Legacy
Saints Row reboot
God of War Ragnarok

Probably missing a few, and some of these could get delayed.

Return to Monkey Island of course|
Is that coming out this year? It was just announced.

An other adventure game I look forward to is the console version of Syberia the World Before that given the reviews on PC seems to be a great entry in the series.

i actually think FF XVI is coming out this year
The recent statements both from Yoshida and SE are good signs but the Forspoken delay might put the two titles in internal competion so I wouldn't be surprised if it was pushed to February 2023, we'll see though.

Just give me PSVR 2 and I’ll be a giddy kipper. Or I’ll settle for FF16.
cat please GIF

I guess we’ll know for sure by the end of June what we can look forward to in the latter half of the year.
