I found Metro Exodus really disappointing. It lacked the atmosphere of the other games, and it was very uneven in terms of textures. The engine is really showing its age now, character movement is really clunky. Best thing about the game are the weapons imo.
I guess they did well with such a low budget, although the hardware required for Metro 2033 back in the day was pretty crazy.

I know this will sound weird but another thing I like about this series is.... Railcars!
I love mine carts and trains and vehicles on train tracks or rails especially in underground tunnels.
Maybe it harkens back to when I was a kid and loved train tunnels or maybe because it reminds me of dark rides at Disneyland.
