I predicted 1000 since :
- rumour of MK Wii doing as good as SSBB first week.
- GTAIV should be bigger than SSBB week 2 to week 4 (since GTAIV have higher MSRP, and since GTAIV # should be bigger than SSBB).
- More Wii available than ever, which might increase wii games # (like GHIII Wii, Wii Play etc).

This is easily the hardest month we've ever had. I have absolutely no pulse on the Pokemon sales because it's been lost in the Mario Kart / GTA party. I have absolutely no clue how well GT5P will do because there's never been anything like it and many people probably bought it online. And I have no clue how well Brawl will hold up after a full month of sales.

My brain is telling me that software sales just couldn't increase too much with one less week of sales, but when you combine a million+ Wii game with the biggest gaming launch of all-time, it HAS to push up the total software sales. Hell, if GTA4 moved 4 million copies in the US at an average of $65 a copy (to acccount for the limited edition), that's $260 million alone, JUST FOR ONE GAME.

According to Microsoft, "according to retailers more than 60% of all GTA games sold in the first week were the Xbox 360 version," and "roughly 40% of new consoles" were sold with a copy of GTAIV.

On the one hand, everyone could adjust their 360/PS3 ratio to match Microsoft's Retailers' numbers. On the other hand, we don't know which retailers these are and how they would compare with the full U.S. market.

Adjust (or don't) how you see fit.

On the one hand, everyone could adjust their 360/PS3 ratio to match Microsoft's Retailers' numbers. On the other hand, we don't know which retailers these are and how they would compare with the full U.S. market.

Adjust (or don't) how you see fit.

Me think, Microsoft is doing one of the below mentioned things :
- choose the retailer with best ratio (that favor Microsoft)
- choose the retailer with earliest info shared to them
- choose a subset of retailers with good # for them, and pretend the rest of the retailers didn't release number to them yet (by the time they write their PR).

It is up to you which of the above three possibilities you believe influenced Microsoft PR.
