Someone are porting Street Fighter 1 to Sega Genesis/Mega Drive

Are you using Android Emulator to Play if yes please use Retroarch with core PicoDrive, if you are using Fusion on Windows please open Options / Set Config / Controllers / 6 Btn Pad, enable it please, in Retroarch first you need open the game so open the menu to enable similar option. Or if you are using Krikzz X7 it also will have problems with data transfer emulation system of the Card, all will runs fine one X3 or X5.

No mate, I'm using an Everdrive on my real PAL Megadrive as I don't use emulators on my retro game channel.

BTW, if any of you out there would like to see a gaming channel that uses only real hardware for retro game vids then I'm sure you'll like mine, all welcome! :)

Sorry, this demo has not support to 50hz consoles, it will get awesome slow, but in my newest version of Genesis Fight Engine I included a option to choose between 50hz and 60hz at first turn on.

Updated the engine system, hud and remaking Ryu and Sagat sprites now.

Seeing Street fight 1 makes me realise how good and different Street fighter II was.

Street fighter 2 might be one of the most drastic changes seen in a sequel.
Gameplay wise It changed the fighting genre and video game industry forever.
It was one of the most successful and most important sequels ever I think.

From my memory the original sf1 arcade game had these giant rubber buttons that you had to mash as hard as you can and that would translate to how hard you punched

.my memories are watching Asian kids smash the pads with full cans of coke and then halfway through the cans exploded all over the machine and themselves so they had to put signs up

They stopped using cans and started to steal the balls from the billiard table to use for more force...I also remember one guy using a brick.

Fun memories

Those pneumatic controls were crap - they tended to start leaking so you had to hit them harder and harder. Which made them leak more. That's why most of the machines ended up being retrofitted with regular buttons.

SF1 is an essential piece of gaming history that was usually being ignored by Capcom until it popped up on the anniversary pack.

SF2 is so much better its ridiculous. They took everything wrong with SF1, and perfected it.

Biggest SF1 fan here :)
Are you still planning to keep it as real to SF1 as possible?!,...or even at least allow that option in a menu as I personally do not want to see any new moves added to the SF1 characters which includes Sagat doing the dragon punch.
Even though I have the actual arcade machine and perfect Jap rom on MAME, I'd still love to play this on the Megadrive and imagine it had an official release back in the day.

Whatever you do Mauro, PLEEEEEASE do not make it as slow and boring as the original arcade speed of SF2, that game was far too easy and the speed almost allowed me to pop out during rounds, make a drink and come back and still finish the round, very coma drowsy, that's what made SF1 so much better in that area, each round (after Retsu) felt like sudden death especially when you got past U.S.A, blink and you die especially against Birdie and Sagat, always had you on alert, loved the music too.
SF1 on these new comp console discs suck, they play nothing like the real arcade hardware which is such a shame as it gives everyone a false impression of it,...jerky with rough sounding sounds and speech,...as said nothing like the arcade original hardware.

Either way, you're doing a grand job! Any idea when a working full rom will be ready to play?!
P.s, is there any footage of Birdie yet?! Gotta love that British white headbutting punk rocker :-D

Well, the characters must have some key frames and mechanics to working correctly with Genesis Fight Engine, if not I could get a lot of problems with the A.I. or colisions, also it would be so weird to players control them, and I pretend make all characters playable. Some characters has few sprites because they are NPCs and they are't avaiable to been choosen in original arcade I think.
