Someone Has Found All 900 Korok Seeds In Zelda

Not that I was going to find them all but maybe could you have left the number out of the thread title?
Are you serious?....

Anyway, I watched someone streaming BOTW today and he got all 900 seeds. No chance in hell would I go through all that trouble to get all 900.

Damn. Whenever I hear stuff like this, I can't help but to think he/she could've done something more productive with their time.

Did it really need to be 900 to get their point across?

It needed to be 900 because they wanted a certain density of content across their game world, little things to watch for, and they wanted them to add up to something tangible.
But you only need half that to max out everything, and realistically only about 100 to be pretty well off.

- Nintendo makes collecting all seeds a requirement to max inventory space: "Fuck Nintendo, I want to max out my inventory space without having to spend hundreds of hours searching for every last seed.".
- Nintendo makes it so that you only need half of the seeds, but puts a good reward for collecting 900 seeds: "Fuck Nintendo, they locked a good reward behind spending hundreds of hours searching for every last seed?".
- Nintendo puts a bragging rights reward for collecting 900 seeds: "Fuck Nintendo, they expect me to spend hundreds of hours searching for every last seed for this shitty reward?".

Lol

Honestly, I guess it's a lot better than there being something actually really useful/valuable for collecting all 900, because people would complain far more than it just being a shitty reward due to something good being essentially locked away like that. I think...

dont worry, the korok seeds are only worth 70% OUT OF 100% COMPLETION

finishing all of the dungeons adds up to less than 1%

i can't

Yeah, what do people want from spending an absurd amount of time getting these? Something valuable? That would be ridiculous to gate it behind that.

We all know who was behind this...

Can't wait for the 900 Korok Seed speedrun category

I think I'm on like 15 in ~15 hours

Some of em are pretty obvious, but I imagine they get fucking obscure once you hit like 100+
I have 130ish seeds purely from the southeastern parts of the map. They've all been pretty obvious.

I think Korok Seeds are actually a really well implemented collectible.

- They're easy to spot from a distance once you learn what you're looking for
- You usually need to do something to obtain them instead of just running over them. Some of them, especially the ones where you have to
throw a rock into a ring of stones
can be pretty hard to do.
- They're an easy way to reward exploring some of the nooks and crannies of the game
- You only "need" to find half of them, meaning that if you're doing a lot of exploring hunting for them specifically is unnecessary
- They exhibit diminishing returns because the upgrades cost more every time, meaning that not being able to find a few wayward seeds isn't really a huge deal.

The world would still be interesting if it wasn't for every random mountain peak having a weapon or a seed lying on top of it but does make exploration more rewarding.

This only is doable with a checklist app or a printed out map with all locations where you can checkmark the ones you have found.

Finding them all yourself.... Must be torture.

So basically, it's pointless to even go for the Korok Seeds in the first place with that awful reward. Good to know when I eventually pick this game up on Switch.

Absolutely fucking not the case.

They are you're reward for exploring and they are vital to increase your inventory. Finding all of them is unnecessary. You won't ever need max bow and shield slots.

You quoted someone saying Nintendo loves to 'shit' on their fans, in response to finding out the ultimate reward being something that conspicuously looks like a piece of shit. Do you not get the joke the poster you quoted made?

Guys...I know its a pun, but I remember the same poster calling it a crappy $60 game. Thats why i confronted them like that.

Damn, I didn't care about spoiling the reward since I don't know if I'd ever actually get them all without a guide, but I wouldn't have clicked the link if I'd known the BotW tunic was in the picture, I was gonna gun for all the Shrines and wanted its appearance to be a surprise ):

Looks interesting, hopefully the side quest you do to get it explains why it looks the way it does.

Hahahaha holy shit that is amazing. I mean it's better than receiving a useless statue, at least that one is funny and tells you the origin of korok seeds.

The design actually looks like a pile of Korok seeds stacking together.

Korok seed = shit confirmed.

You collect 900 small piece of shit to get 1 big pile of shit.

i can't

They just added up all major events and collectibles and divided 100 by it, which is fine.

I mean let's be honest, if they arbitrarily made dungeons 10-20% each and compressed the korok seeds into a smaller percentage, would it really be any less annoying seeing "95% complete" than "27% complete?"
