Someone Has Found All 900 Korok Seeds In Zelda

Who the fuck wants to search for more than 400 Korok seeds to max (something many folks try to do)? People got fed up with Riddler trophies and their innovations and you think they want to search for way more Korok seeds?

Then don't get 441 korok seeds? You don't need to max out shield and bow so just max your weapons for like 150 or so. There's only 900 so people have an overabundance of options when upgrading their inventory.

If the intent is for them to be something you're supposed to be just something you randomly stumble upon, then there isn't much of a feeling of satisfaction when you find them. Actively searching for them isn't rewarding either, because 1 korok seed is only a fraction of an upgrade. It's a bad system that stems from the fact that they made the world too large to sustain consistently original and meaningful content.
Well the one point I can agree on is that the world is too big. But my personal experience with the seeds is that stumbling on them is satisfying enough. It remains to be seen whether that feeling remains after I reach enough to get all of the upgrades though.

As an aside I made a chart showing the total number of seeds you need to reach a given upgrade level. Because the number of seeds you need rises exponentially most of the required number are concentrated within the last few weapons slots (and a shit-ton of shield slots).

This might be completely baseless but I think I remember reading a few days ago that that reward allows you to make animals and/or enemies dance? Has anyone who has it tried that yet?

I think there's only 900 to make them easier to stumble upon so most players have something to keep them occupied and have opportunities to expand their inventory.

Kinda dumb that it counts for so much of one's completion %.

Can seone check if the % on the map is for objectives or just markers/names on the map? I read it was the later so it doesnt actually track progress (i.e. finishing a shirine)

Geez, and I felt robbed by Ocarina of Time's reward for finding all the Skulltulas.

But hey, sometimes when a game is so good, you just want an excuse to keep playing. I got 98 point something percent in Just Cause 2, and IIRC you can't even get to 100%, and there's no reward for any of it.

It takes 208 to max melee weapon inventory.

Korok seeds are amazing design for a majority of players. They're spread quite densely across the terrain and provide bits of reward for exploration (the...main point of the game), and the large number of them means all players are basically guaranteed to get a good amount of inventory slots.

I'd rather they be designed like that than for there to be either less of them/more obvious just to cater to the minority completionists who can't stand seeing low percentages on their save files.

Reminds me a little of the minigame you unlock after getting 100% in WarioWare: Twisted!...

It's a minigame called "WarioWare: Twisted!" that, when you select it to play it, it basically resets the game lol.

Seems like it's in line for most of the sidequest reward that have done. They all give crappy reward, at least from all those I did so far.

When I was a kid I 100%'d Link's Awakening and A Link to the Past, and though I never found all the skulltulas in OOT, it was still so fun to search for them and push myself to explore more and more. It took me YEARS to achieve what I did, and I dunno, there's a certain appeal to the idea of picking up BOTW off and on over the next several years and continuing to find more korok seeds. I'm sure I'll never get to 900, but it'll be nice to have a reason to revisit the game. :)

Good thing his maraca dance is so delightful.

Because that's a shitty reward.

I'm still struggling to understand how that works.

How does Link watching a leaf person dance make him suddenly more efficient at storing his stuff.

I need to know this.

I'm like thirty hours in and haven't found the guy I turn in the seeds to. I already beat one dungeon, too. Someone help me :(

- Nintendo makes collecting all seeds a requirement to max inventory space: "Fuck Nintendo, I want to max out my inventory space without having to spend hundreds of hours searching for every last seed.".
- Nintendo makes it so that you only need half of the seeds, but puts a good reward for collecting 900 seeds: "Fuck Nintendo, they locked a good reward behind spending hundreds of hours searching for every last seed?".
- Nintendo puts a bragging rights reward for collecting 900 seeds: "Fuck Nintendo, they expect me to spend hundreds of hours searching for every last seed for this shitty reward?".

I think the moral of the story is to not have 900 of something just 'because' and to have a more reasonable number where every one of them has a meaningful and enjoyable gameplay method to finding and acquiring it.

How could you miss him ? You meet him on the road toward city name spoiler
Kakariko Village
the first time. You'll have to do a quick quest for him, super simple.

Just past the
bridge leading to Kakariko Village, north of the first ranch you find

This. I don't need an achievement, make a few worth more.

Well FUCK. I found like 10 and was super happy. Had no idea there were that many. Fuck trying to collect them all then.

It's good to have way more than you need because everyone will take different paths through the game and having a surplus will ensure most players will find enough to upgrade their inventory a bunch.

I think the moral of the story is to pick up the seeds you come across to expand your inventory, and don't sweat the ones you missed.

Is it that hard?

Terrible.

It's stupid there's so many, there's a useless reward and there's no map to find them. Not a fan of this implementation of collectibles.

Platinum Trophy=
Golden Poop
.

I guess we know what Nintendo thinks of achievements.

I love it. I need it now.
